Food was exceptionally good!! We enjoyed beef gyros, dolmas, baba ganoush, and spanakopita. Can't wait to go back.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars - it has high ratings on Google and Trip Advisor, and the building architecture is done well - I’m not sure what the building used to be - I’m just passing through. I honestly would have given it 3-1/2 stars if I could, but it may just be the day and time that I came.
I visited mid afternoon between 2 and 3 on a Monday, so it was slow, but the staff kind of seemed bored too. Not sure, maybe lunch was busy and they were tired.
The food: The lamb gyro didn’t look anything like any lamb gyro I’d had - I thought they accidentally served me a pork brisket gyro. I went to ask and they confirmed it was lamb, without any additional comment...nothing to assure me it would be good. Nobody followed up to ask how it was. It was dry, very dry in fact. I was surprised - I’m used to gyros being very moist, good portion of tzatziki and other veggies. Instead the tzatziki was there, but subtle and the meat was just dry like it had been waiting too long on the grill for someone to finally order the lamb.
Fries were decent. If I come back I might try another meat because the lamb didn’t even taste like lamb to me and I don’t like it all shredded up like pulled brisket.

Arrived at noon to ample parking and open tables. The interior is a bit dark, but the service is fast and the food was delicious!
We ordered a pork gyro, fish gyro, ribeye gyro, dolmas, fries, and calamari. Everything was fresh and I’m a big fan of the light fluffy pita bread and light breading on the calamari. I would love to visit again, maybe saving some room for dessert from their enticing dessert case.

Alpha Omega has some fantastic options. I would highly recommend enjoying the lamb gyro. While the chicken and beef are safe options, the shrimp, on the other hand, is always a hit or miss for me. It often comes out a little fishy, which is a shame because the butter sauce they cook it in is quite tasty. On the upside, the fries are long and fat, and seasoned with classy herbs and spices. And if you don't mind paying twice the price of your fries, upgrade to the Greek feta option. Most people walk away feeling it was worth it. Lastly there are many other options besides gyros. You can get grilled chicken and veggies, a Greek salad, and even some tasty-looking dessert items.
This time I ordered one of the specials for the day, the ribeye gyro. I really enjoyed the meal and hope they continue to offer this on their menu.
If you're looking for 'real' Greek food, this place is definitely not as authentic as D's Mediterranean. If D's is like a good foreign film, Alpha is like the Last Samurai, or some other movie you question why everyone speaks English but really don't care because you're enjoying the movie.
The interior is dimly lit at night; a prime Waco date night spot. In the day time, however, the 'question mark' decor sticks out like eyesores (which, I've just realized, this is kind of a gross description for a restaurant, but it's too late). There are random paintings on the wall. For example, behind us while we ate our Greek food, a wild bear was busy catching a salmon in the Colorado River.
And with that here is the verdict:
Food: 4.5/5
Presentation: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Vibes: 3/5
PRO TIP: A friend told me, if ordering a gyro, it's better to ask for the sauce on the side. They hand you an entire cup to use for dipping instead of the little dollop inside the peta.

Very good food. Made fresh at the bakery. I think that was the freshest Pita I have had at a restaurant. I also had my first ever profiterole, and it was delicious.

Wow what a yummy place. Mediterranean/Greek food is new to me. I havent explore all the dishes but im working my way through the menus. This is the newest restaurant in Waco and my third Greek restaurant to visit. Go visit and enjoy the food and ambiance.

A local hole-in-the-wall Greek place with amazing feta fries and Mediterranean favorites. Their gyros are a cheap and delicious lunch option that are under $10! They also have beautiful desserts like baklava & cheesecakes. One of my favorite places to eat in Waco!!

Driving through waco today and found this gem. We had the Gryo, humus, and baklava. All of which was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

First time here and felt rushed through the ordering process, when asked what comes on what plate we got misinformation. Ordered a Lamb gyro and was very very dry. I would not recommend this place at this time.

This is a great place with some solid Mediterranean food options and very tasty desserts. Seems out of place in Waco...sorry, Waco. I have been here each time I've had to be in Waco over the past year, and it's been very consistently good.
