The Blockhouse

This place is amazing! Authentic breakfast that has its own signature twist without breaking the mold. The brisket hash was delicious, the chicken and waffles were great, and these are the best biscuits and gravy I've had in the entire region hands down. Portions are generous and the price was on point. Jennifer has really created something special here and you can see just how much she cares in every detail. We will definitely be coming out of our way to return in the future and thank you all again for a wonderful experience.

Went here on a whim and so happy we did as we’ve been looking for a great breakfast spot closer to the house. We loved that it wasn’t just a diner but coffee house and bakery as well. TWe tried a little bit of everything and enjoyed it all. The service was just as good as the food. We’ll definitely be coming back.

This is the BEST PLACE EVER!!!
We started coming here about 6 months ago and we come every weekend. The staff and the atmosphere, food and friendly conversations, is what keep us coming! We have never gone to a place where the staff remembers us like they do here.
We order usually the same thing each weekend, although I got the pumpkin French toast when it first came out. A-mazing! My husband orders the breakfast hash and I’m the breakfast sandwich. Fresh food and coffee every time. We wanted to try other places for breakfast but we just can’t. We love the Blockhouse too much! And if there’s ever a wait, it’s WORTH IT!

Shrimp and grits were delicious! Probably some of the best I have ever had. The service was excellent. The scenery out back was also beautiful. We really enjoyed our breakfast here and will come back when in the area again. Wish we had a place like this closer to us :)

Took my family here for the first time. Everything was delicious. Recommend the iced dirty chai latte (chai latte with a shot of espresso).

Fried mushroom were a hit! Always going to order these.

Pancakes were the bomb next time we want to try the pimento cheese balls.

Shrimp and grits were Cajun delicious creamy buttery and cheesy.

I had a bl fgt (bacon lettuce and fried green tomatoes ) but it came last, so no pic. But I recommend, if your in a sandwich mood.

I HAD high hopes for this establishment. I recently visited and thought it would be great to bring the family over the weekend. While the first visit went great, the second showed their level of care towards paying customers. When we asked if we could get the clearly over done biscuit swapped out for one NOT burnt the server said yes and took it to the back kitchen. Moments later the manager or whoever was running the show brought out the same plate, burnt biscuit and all to our table. With a raised voiced she asked “what’s wrong with this”? Responding again politely I said we would just like one that doesn’t not taste burnt. Refusing to offer to make it right. I was truly shocked that this just happened. I went from telling everyone that they needed to come try this place to don’t even think of going there. I, nor will any of my family be returning to support this place. Customer service and care will always out perform the level of food you produce. Blockhouse you lost my support and I will make sure to let everyone know.

I had English muffin, light and flavorful. French Toast was on point. Kids ate their whole plate. Everything was sooo good and ambient was calm and relaxing.

We had a fantastic brunch today. The owner's attention to detail is perfect. You have the choice of cozy indoor dining or relaxing outdoor seating. If you are in a hurry they offer drive-thru service. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. We will be back for dessert!

Over multiple visits a few things remain the same. Excellent personable service. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Blockhouse has quickly become a go to for great food and a relaxing atmosphere.

Great first experience! The food was delicious and I had the best vanilla latte with coconut milk! My husband and I also tried the avocado egg rolls as an appetizer.
