We've heard a lot about Comfort Cafe, but never seen to find the time.
I can tell you now that we have really been missing out on this one of a kind Cafe.
Bring cash or a checkbook, because no cards are accepted.
When you walk in, you'll walk to the back and order from the counter. The menu is posted on a chalk board next to the counter. But don't look for prices, there aren't any. Comfort Cafe is donation based, and proceeds go to support their recovery program.
When ordering they write each person's name next to their order, because they are making food for YOU and not just another ticket, and they pray over your food AS they are making it.
And speaking of the food......... gourmet and made with love are the first two things that come to mind.
You find all of the regular things on the menu, omelets, bacon and eggs, pancakes and french toast. But that is where the ordinary ends.
Churro stuffed or Lemon glaze french toast!
A Pancake Flight
Triple Berry Waffles
The Drunk Monkey
Or the Lone Star (which is entirely to big for one person),
are just a few of the absolutely wonderful things on the menu.
I could spend the next three paragraphs in a feeble attempt to describe how great the food is, but it would only illustrate my foolish verbosity.
If Churro stuffed French toast doesn't get you through the door, nothing will.
The staff is super friendly with constant smiles. They are very attentive and are genuinely happy to serve.
LOVE this place!

It was very good and it supports a great cause. The staff were awesome and very attentive. I had the eggs Benny and I was stuffed! My husband had the lemon Ricotta pancakes and he couldn’t finish them- those are definitely for sharing. Only downside is you pay with cash or check. So make sure you keep that in mind. A very good breakfast place for sure!!

Cannot recommend this place enough! The stuffed churro French toast was so good. The metro omelet had so many unique flavors that went together perfectly! Not to mention the money goes to a great cause so totally worth the trip. They also have very good coffee.

This place was great! I had the pancake flight and added hash brown casserole. My wife had corned beef hash and added a strawberry crepe. It turned out to be way more than we could eat. All was delicious! The concept of their proceeds going towards recovery was just an extra bonus. We will definitely be back. I don’t care if it’s an hour and a half away :)

What a great place. The vibe is perfect and I will go back as often as possible. The food can be a little hit or miss but you can figure out what you like. For example the hash brown casserole sounded promising but it was somewhat soupy and bland.

Had a wonderful first time at Comfort Cafe. Delicious, homemade food - hefty portions. You pay what you can and money goes towards supporting those recovering from addictions. Wonderful wonderful people working here. Had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to the owner's daughter Ashley.

You simply CANNOT GO WRONG! The food is amazing and you can support a good cause at the same time you fill your belly!! It’s a pay what you can ( they have no prices on the menu). The suggested donation is $15 per meal and it is worth it!! What you see if a hot chai latte and stuffed waffles with a side of bacon and the breakfast plate with sausage!

Best breakfast in America. We come here for Friday brunch and not once have we been disappointed. I usually get the Vietnamese iced coffee and the Lone Star plate. My husband usually get a chicken salad. Stop by for culture, art, great drinks and food.
