Smithville General Store

We stumbled across this gem of a store while exploring this quaint little town. This is an interior designer's candy store!! So many unique accessories and wonderful furniture pieces. The store is beautifully laid out and displayed. The service was very friendly and helpful also. Worth a visit for sure!

The best coffee in Bastrop county. The owner, Beth, is a doll. Kevin, the manger, is a rockstar and will make you laugh until your heart is content. They have the best gift selection. We brag about this store and grateful to have them in Smithville. I’m always finding something new here and simply can’t get enough.

Great coffee. But what stands out is the warm comfy ambience and country feel.

Great little store in a great little town. Methinks this may have been what Fredericksburg used to be like before it became so popular. Wonderfully friendly people in Smithville, who make you feel like you've lived there your whole life. Next time I visit Texas, I'm going to plan on spending a whole day there, just relaxing and putzing around from store to store. I have a feeling I'm going to love it.

Highly recommend dropping in here to wander around looking at the items for sale, grabbing a coffee, & splitting a sweet treat with a pal. I got the cold brew, which had a great coffee:ice ratio. I split the berry poptart with my friend & am glad we went halfsies because it was super sugar sweet. I loved every sip of my coffee & every nibble of my poptart. The staff were kind & courteous & the shop has books, kitchen wares, art, & other miscellaneous items to check out.

This place brings my heart so much joy. When I walk in, I immediately feel like I belong, like I’m family. Not only is the coffee amazing, but they have beautiful gifts for all occasional. I’ve bought shirts, books, paintings, ornaments and more. I bring all my friends visiting here as a “must see/shop/sip”. I enjoy coming in, grabbing an iced cowboy coffee with oat milk and listening to their awesome music. If I get lucky the manager, Kevin, will chat with me, which I really enjoy. He’s a doll. I genuinely love and appreciate the Smithville General Store being here and making our community smile.

Love the variety of merchandise and their coffee bar, especially like the "Sassy Cowgirl" specialty coffee. Mmmmm
