Grain Bin Cafe & Store

Service was fast and the staff were friendly. I was expecting home style cooking based on the menu, but my plate was just average commercially prepared food. The mashed potatoes had no lumps so I suspect they were made from a dehydrated product and the brown gravy did not seem to be scratch cooking either. This does not mean the food was of poor quality, just not home cooking. Everything was tasty, but slightly over salted for my palate. I will be a repeat customer.

Best chicken fried steak around! Green beans could have been seasoned better.. Staff is always friendly and gets your food out quickly. Consistently good.

Today I had one of the best damn cheeseburgers I've ever had. The mushrooms Swiss burger is absolutely show stopping. My tastebuds almost exploded at first contact with this delicious country burger. Visit soon and often, you will not be disappointed!!

We have passed by this place for a while now, finally looked them up and based on reviews gave it a try. I will give kuddos to the staff and service, it is a very friendly environment but the food, just awful. In my opinion, it was commercially frozen and prepared items. It was so tasteless and unappetizing that we barely ate and left our plates full on the table. We were really hoping for a "home style cooking" type of place to start taking the family. Maybe we were here on an off night, not sure but it is on our no list.

Oh 'em Gee! 13 years open and this was my first time here last week. Amazing food and wonderful enthusiastic friendly hostess/waitresses.
We have a lot of catching up to do for all them years I missed, so see ya tomm Lindsay I'm ready to try one of them hamburger steaks!

Great comfort food and an awesome atmosphere.

I was really excited about trying this place due to rave reviews. However, my experience was not a good one. The food was good. The service was awful. My sever never came back to refill drinks or ask how the meal was. We were the only ones in the restaurant for about the first 20 minutes or so, so no good excuse there. Then waited a solid 5 minutes for the cashier to notice we were waiting to check out, then no apology for the wait. The food was definitely not good enough to put up with bad service.

My husband and I visited this great small town cafe!!!! We sat with the Owner for awhile and chatted. My husband and her had great conversation about Europe as he is from Italy and she having family from Germany. She was so pleasant and made us feel so welcome, despite the cafe being bustling busy!!!!! We can’t wait to come back and check out the Biergarten!!!!!

Great little place, kinda hidden due to location out in Country between Seguin and San Marcos, TX. Off Hwy 123. They have great appetizers, my favorite is the grilled chicken. Very friendly Staff. Many homestile meals to choose from. Usually no wait, food comes out fast. They have a little gift shop area in front of restaurant and a Bar area in back. Parking in front and back.
