Royers Round Top Café

Amazing filet, creamed corn and mashed potato sides were great as well. The pecan pie and ice cream were amazing!!

Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Been coming to round top for the past 25 years and I finally got to eat here. It’s more then worth making a reservation and driving up! And when they say Bud’s steak is the best ever I can vouch they ain’t lying.

Incredible food! We got there at 5pm on Saturday and we’re seated right away. Their herbed butter and rolls are like no other! I had the shrimp and grits and they were the best I have ever had! Very rich, creamy and cheesy! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned exactly how I like! I can’t wait to come back with my hubs. I have had their pie before and absolutely love their junk berry pie. Also, they serve wine and beer.

Service Sucked, because I ate at Noon here & big server lady DID NOT GIVE ME A LUNCH MENU (only a dinner menu, which cost me a fortune while trying to be on a budget as a chauffeur). Shrimp & Grits = OK, but expensive. Try lunch items (fish tacos, burger, etc.).

The food was just okay, and we waited 2 hours for it. Once we were inside, we were seated by the door, which kept having to be opened for people coming and going, and made it almost the same temperature inside as outside (cold). I ordered pie first thing and wasn't told until I was done eating that the pie I wanted was out of stock. :(

My wife and I had dinner last evening at Royers Cafe and it was a world-class experience from excellent service to superb culinary fare. It's easy to see how they accomplish their mission of "Big Taste. Tiny Town." It was also a special treat to meet JB and Jamie (owners) personally and share a conversation with Jamie who hales from my home state and hometown, Lake Charles, LA. I have eaten at Royers for lunch several times before and had the same quality experience. If you get a chance to be in Round Top, TX, stop by Royers (at least for homemade pie) and
enjoy a quality experience in an at-home atmosphere. Thanks JB and Jamie!

The food was awesome and server was very hospitable. If you like chicken, try Karen's Lemon Chest. It was moist and delicious. The Shrimp 'n Grits was remarkably tasty and the shrimp were huge. As for the pie, you have to just try the Berry Lemon. It was the best pie I've ever had.

Not worth the wait and not worth the price. My sister's tenderloin sandwich should have been called a tough loin. I tried a bite
and it was indeed very tough. She had to take the sandwich apart and eat it with a knife and fork. We were charged for fries even though when we ordered the server said do you want fries or chips as if it was part of the meal. But we were charged $2 each for having fries and if we had been aware that the fries were not included, we would have chosen not to get them. The ambiance was okay. We likely will not return.

It was a disappointing experience because we had read so many great reviews.

We adore Royers and it is an absolute MUST STOP when we are in Brenham! The tenderloin sandwich and grilled shrimp BLT are both to die for AND don't even get me started on their pies...you can't go wrong with any of them! My personal favorite pies are the Texas Trash and the Sweet and Salty...yummmmm! They do community seating here so if you are a small party be prepared to meet some new friends! The last time we were here, my husband and I were seated at a table with 2 sweet ladies from out of town and it was super cool to chat with them over some delicious food!
