Prepare for a line if you come in around lunchtime prepare for a very long line if you come in during round top days. It is well worth the wait we had the hamburgers and they were fantastic. We also had cheesy grits with jalapeño. They had a really good flavor, but they were served cold and maybe warm would’ve been better, you got a try the desserts you get a free ice cream scoop if you’re a teacher military or police. This is the place to eat if you’re here by all means.

The pies are the stars here, but the rest of the menu is better than it needs to be. We went for their Sunday fried chicken. Very juicy and flavorful. We also split the junkberry pie (a la mode, of course). Really well balanced, and not cloyingly sweet. Worth the drive and wait.

Unreal!! If you are looking for flavorful southern comfort food, this is it. I ordered the breaded red snapper with mashed potatoes and greens beans and it was phenomenal! The restaurant is super small and sometimes they will seat two different parties at 1 table to get more people in the door. For those reviews complaining about that; keep in mind you are dining in a small small town family owned restaurant whose only goal is to share their delicious food with as many people as possible. We got to know the people at the table next to us who ordered the steak special and said they drive 3+ hours just to eat here! We finished the meal off with a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie (with ice cream of course) and it was heavenly. Be forewarned that you will 100% need a reservation and, even if you have one, do not expect to get seated right on the dot. Once you are seated, service is fast and friendly!
Thank you Royers for the hospitality and delicious meal, it was the highlight of our trip to Round Top!

Whoa this place is absolutely one of the best places I have visited. The food, the community, the servers are by far the best. My parents always took me to little places like this when I was a kid and I truly appreciate the hometown vibe and home cooking from places like this. Simply amazing all around!

This is a must stop upon arrival in Round Top. You will have to wait regardless on when you. It's worth the wait. Excellent service and fantastic food. Best place if you love homemade pies.

The atmosphere was fun and eclectic. The service was nice and food was awesome! We shared Karen's Lemon Chest with jalapeño grits and mashed potato casserole, the Grilled Shrimp BLT and Texas Trash Pie. Everything was delicious! Henkles Square was lit up beautifully for the holidays. I wish more shops had been open!

First time trying their food and it was absolutely delicious! We stopped by for lunch and everything we ordered tasted amazing! Definitely loved the cream corn and the cheesy grits with jalapeños.
After we went shopping for awhile we returned to try some of the pies and those were equally aa good.
We tried the Apple pie, lemon blueberry and the Junk Berry pies and all we absolutely divine.
We will most definitely be returning to eat here often.

SO worth the motorcycle ride to get to Royers. All the food is awesome and ample but you MUST save room for the pie. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it. The people are small town Texas friendly. Simply a great place.

Great wait staff. Wonderful French fries. Apple pie 🥧 was great. Sandwiches not quite as good as I remember.
