The Standpipe Coffee House

A marginal 4 stars based on the quality of the food and service. A quaint hole in the wall setting, but the seating is uncomfortable and the front entry/outdoor seating area is often too dirty to consider eating out there.

I've been to this coffee house before, albeit 2years ago and again this past weekend. Their service is excellent and the coffee is amazing. Not to mention all the other things they offer like the Italian sodas. I had a strawberry flavored one and it was awesome. If you ever go through Lufkin, TX you should definitely stop by and check it out.
Also the atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back. 😊❤

Grest stop for a lunch break when you want to give the doggie a walk while traveling

This is an adorable coffee shop. If I lived closer, it would probably be my go-to for coffee before work. This shop has a great atmosphere - you can find friendly staff and almost always some students studying together! A very comfortable place to enjoy some fantastic coffee!

Good coffee. I only ever drink the decaf americano with heavy cream, but it has bold flavor and is fresh. Atmosphere is great. Feels like a throwback to the 60's or something. Moderate prices on par with Starbucks. Great place to hang out and read, meet with friends, or bring a laptop and get some work done. Staff friendliness is hit or miss.

Being a local manager, I have to give this coffee shop props. They have a great, slow, jazzy atmosphere where anybody can relax and enjoy a good cup of Joe. The staff really caters to the atmosphere and they throw in great music that is a subtle, low volume. Only thing missing is a tad bit more variety to their coffee. Overall great coffee shop!

Hanna is the freaking best barista there, as well as Christian, great customer service and perfectly blended drinks. The decor is beautiful and gives of the best vibes as well as being DOG FRIENDLY! I love bringing my dog Bo in for some whipped cream. The baristas are super friendly and will definitely hold a conversation proven that it's not too busy. As long as you have a little patience, it will be a great time. Will definitely come again!

I come here often, but this weekend my wife and I stopped by late evening. She isn’t a big coffee drinker and the staff, as always, were patient and helped make her a drink she really liked. It is the above and beyond service that makes a difference... Not to mention they always make a great coffee and as a regular know what I like when I walk in the door. If you are in downtown Lufkin stop in. You won’t be disappointed.

It was great as always. This person who works there is just the best. She is a red head think here name is Casey and I think that all the baked goods are her baking. That and a special coffee are the best. It's my favorite coffee house ever. Keep it up👍

Great coffee shop right in the middle of town. They offer great food options and amazing coffee with service that can't be beat. I always stop in for one of their signature lattes, the "Criminal" (1/2 sweet, with an extra shot) if im anywhere near Lufkin. Don't forget to check out their seasonal menu items as well, there's definitely some hidden gems there as well.
