I've been going here for 20+ years. It never gets old with its quaint charm. Back in the day, it was the only place you could get a Nescafe frappe on a hot summer day and I still go there in the summer specifically for that! The upstairs is cute and a nice spot to have an intimate conversation. Sometimes the laptop people take over and it's hard to find a place to sit. I was happy to see they have a few vegan goodies on the shelf! Cozy and comfortable. Love!

Really nice place and good coffee.
I bought a pastry and flat white, it was around 10 dollars. Both were really good.
Servers are really nice

Stylish coffee place to enjoy coffee served in various ways. Great for some remote work. Tavern-like wooden interior with quite many places to seat (2 floors).

Amazing coffee and great staff. Make sure to walk with someone if you’re leaving late at night— you can get the security guard to walk with you. Wine bar during the night and coffee during the day. Grab some great snacks and study for hours while listening to the retro juke box!

The bartender doesnt speak english well enough to understand that “two lattes, one double espresso, the other triple espresso” means only two separate drinks, but instead charged for four drinks.
When asked for a fix, we were met with a strong attitude of accusation, which deserves a one star review. Irrespective of who got it wrong, such cases should be dealt with courtesy and a simple fix called refund.
Not sure she did it on purpose, but i drank the worst latte of my life…

I've visited this venue at least 100 times over the years, since around my Senior high school years in 2003. I've always had a great time every single time, no doubt. Especially when studying or meeting a date there.
I use to have a negative review up here during the worse part of COVID. I was kind of upset they weren't enforcing mask use to my liking, but after the vaccines came out it was all good.
Agora truly lives to its name: its a meeting place for everyone. They have great coffee, a nice selection of wine and assorted alcoholic beverages, along with tea, water, and even snacks.
I'll be visiting again more often when I have the off time. I love this place and couldn't recommend it enough.

Visited on a Friday afternoon and had to have another visit the following Sunday. They make a perfect hot latte exactly as I like to have it made. I usually get two, and they can make it decaf if your body doesn't want the caffeine. I got two desserts, the Melomakarona (olive oil and honey with walnuts cookie). Much better tasting compared to baklava. On Sunday, I had the tops of the lemon poppyseed muffin. So huge, I was only capable of consuming the muffin top. Best thing about Agora is the laid back vibe and numerous people-watching opportunities. It's just a great place to chill for about 1-2 hours. I try to go during non-busy time of day. I will definitely be back. ☕

Agora is wonderfully Greek themed coffeehouse that has a bit of an antiquated vibe to it. Be prepared to do street parking as their parking lot is quite small. I came here today and the cashier was very kind and helpful. She helped us choose some monkey bread and an almond milk caramel latte. Both were delicious, and I loved how there was a microwave there to warm up the monkey bread (a cinnamon muffin/pastry with brown sugar and walnuts).
There were a lot of people present, but everyone was approximately six feet apart. I love how there are two levels. I would definitely recommend sitting on the top level so you can have a good view of the whole place and you can better admire the artwork. Just beware of the steep stairs. My friend and I came here to study, and the table was quite low. Also, the WiFi was slow/laggy, so we ended up creating a hotspot from my phone. In addition, the outlet near me was too loose for my laptop charger to stay plugged in to. Thankfully I had enough battery to be okay without using the charger. And just a heads up, the music can get a bit loud.
I would definitely recommend going to Agora if you haven't already. They have seating outside as well for you to enjoy if the weather is nice. I have also been to the belly dancing performance that they have on Wednesday nights and really enjoyed it!

The coffee and sweets are great, don't get me wrong. However. No GF options, no sugar free syrups, no Decaf. What is this healthy-people elitism? Jk. But also that eliminates 80% of all my friends, so unfortunately we will just have the go somewhere else

Best coffee, great location, perfect study place. Parking is a little wack but you can always enjoy a little walk in this area of Houston. I go here often to relax, hang with friends, or work on homework. Great service and nice owner. Get the lavender latte!
