As expected in the Montrose neighborhood, parking is limited. This is a 2 story coffee shop that has a wide array of drinks- coffees, teas, smoothies, waters, wines, etc. I like the sweet treats especially: brownies, cookies, muffins, etc. I only come in the evenings and there is usually lots of seats available. I prefer upstairs as there is less traffic, but there is patio available also. Relaxed, comfortable ambiance with a diverse crowd.

Great service, nice vibes, and good coffee! We ordered the pumpkin spice and the frappe Greek cold brew! The barista told me the frappe Greek was made with instant coffee! It was good! Not too sweet. The pumpkin spice was sweet but not overly sweet. Would def come here again

A nice place to meet up with friends. Have never been able to find a table to actually get work done but always end up hanging out outside on the patio area. Their sangria is delicious and so is their coffee. I really like how they have little Kinder Happy Hippos for sale there, I always stock up when I go as I can't find them anywhere else! Overall, I like Agora more for hanging out with friends than going to get work done.

BEWARE OF PARKING! please save yourself $300 and do not park at BJ Antique Store in the parking lot next to Agora.
Other than parking this place was AMAZING! The coffee was pretty good. It’s a bit crowded at times, in regards to a Friday night after 10pm. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. Definitely a spot to do some studying or even a cute coffee date spot! The hispanic cleaning ladies were very sweet and the ladies behind the counter were nice as well.
Please visit Agora, you won’t regret it!

You can't go wrong with Agora. It's consistent after so many years. It's also one of the few places in Houston that feels unique to hang out in. Even when I've traveled to other U.S. cities, I find that few coffee shops can rival Agora.
Pre-pandemic, there weren't many places other than bars that were open late and now that list is even smaller so I'm thankful that Agora has continued to offer its typical hours when possible. It's nice to have a place where you don't have to drink alcohol to socialize.
Of course, there's coffee and tea. But if that's not your thing, they have beer and wine. Some pastries as well.

Always a relaxing time when I come to this spot. I get a house coffee with a ham & cheese croissant. I put it in the microwave to make it all warm and nice...man it’s good. However, they just put a giant ball of ham in the middle. Not spread out which makes it weird to eat. Overall, nice place to study, read, write or enjoy a nice cup of joe.

It's a very nice and chill environment if you wanna get some coffee and chat. The upstairs seatings provide a good view of outside.

The atmosphere is really cool. I like the upstairs and how it opens up in the center. There isn't music playing here very often so most of the noise is from other people. The cortado was interesting. It had all of the right flavors, but was still lacking somehow. It may have just been a bit watered down for my taste. It was still decent. As a side note, the area anywhere near the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell, so I would not recommend sitting over in the back area.

Really cool atmosphere and drinks—lives up to its name as a third place—would recommend for friends or studying. Just a nice place to bring people—also has late night coffee which is a huge plus
