Seawall Coffee Company

I was pleasantly surprised when visiting the Seawall Coffee Company! It serves the most delicious coffee I have ever had! They offer so many delicious coffee types and flavors, hot and cold, that it is always so hard to choose! The food is delicious and the beautiful bakery counter showcases the most decadent cakes and treats! It has such a bright, open, and relaxing atmosphere, with a full wall of windows facing the ocean, real tropical plants throughout the large open area, very tall ceilings, comfortable spacious seating, and the most beautiful large painted tropical accent flower on one of the walls. When I asked about the flower, they said it was painted by a local female artist. They said everything is supplied by local women owned businesses in Galveston: the roasted coffee beans, the delectable bakery items, all the other savory breakfast and lunch items, and the gift shop items. They also shared that the owners recently lost a son in battle and he always wore tropical shirts, so the tropical theme is very near and dear to their hearts. I highly recommend Seawall Coffee Company! You will not be disappointed!

It’s hard to find charming, homey, craft coffee shops on the west end of the island but look no further! SCC has exactly what you’re looking for.

We enjoyed the Duke - Cold brew, chai, and a splash of oat milk - and two of their breakfast burritos and weren’t disappointed in the slightest.

The burrito was fresh, the coffee was energizing, and I think we’re about to get a couple of cake pops from their pastry case!

Wifi at your hotel too spotty? They’ve got you covered on that end as well. I’m averaging 80Mbps on my laptop. But don’t let the wifi bog you down here for too long, the sea wall is a 5 minute walk.

Wife and I made an early Sunday morning trip (we live a mile away and had not tried yet) to Seawall Coffee Company. Ordered a 16oz Americano and bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. Wife got an iced mocha with coconut, a croissant breakfast sandwich, and a cookie! Sandwich and burrito were some of the best we have had, but had not noticed the prices before we ordered! These items cost $26! Would not have ordered these items at these prices.
Anyway, wife loved her coffee and sandwich. My coffee however, was fairly weak. Should have ordered an additional shot. Spilled after 1 sip, and did not get a replacement by choice, although graciously offered.
Definitely some work needs to be done on the pricing and coffee product.
Finally, all seating was low with all chairs no higher than a sofa seat. They need some higher chairs as some persons may have problems/issues with sitting too low. I couldn't sit and decided to go and sit in my car. That's when the coffee went "splash!"
Will give this place another go soon and possibly update this review.

10-08-2022 UPDATE: Went in this morning (Saturday) and they were pretty busy, but the line moved very quickly! Got my usual medium Americano, but got an extra shot (3 shots total--I make my pour-over coffee pretty strong at home) and it was perfection! I realized a few days after my initial review that my sense of smell/taste was diminished. Figured I would re-evaluate and came to the conclusion that...wait for it...I WAS WRONG!
The coffee(s) were perfect, my wife got a frozen mocha coconut frappe - whatever - and just gushed over it. She even accepted whipped cream which she normally doesn't do! Not a drop left at the end though.
Breakfast burrito and sandwich were just about the best on the island. Service is quick and full of smiles. I have updated the rating from 3 to 5 stars. I usually only go with a 5 when employees/owners take a little step beyond what is expected. They have consistently taken a step beyond. I also sat back and watched how the smiles never faded from ANY of the employees!

Coffee was delicious, staff was friendly but there is a sign you have to clean/bus your own table. Internet was fast. Inside is cute and bathrooms were clean. Overall, I'd definitely come back.

My absolute favorite place to get coffee and do work. There is always a calm and relaxing atmosphere, amazing coffee, and delicious pastries. Highly recommend trying their s’mores coffee or spinach quiche!

Lovely location, decor, atmosphere and service. Best part however is the food offerings especially the vast variety of gluten free items and then the awesome coffee. Wonderful aroma and taste. Highly recommend this place.

Coffee was amazing and the sweets were too. So glad to see a place in Galveston with Gluten free and healthy options. The gluten free chocolate chip cookie was amazing. Can't wait to return next time we're in Galveston.

Fairly good coffee when I don't feel like making my own. However they seem to open late in the morning these days. In fact, the opening time was scratched off the door glass when I last visited; it was not open at 7:30 am on that day. Hummel's store is a consistent stop when I'm traveling west and the coffee is good.

My mother in law told me about this spot so I had to check it out. SUPER cute. Great customer service. I ordered the honey bun iced, DELICIOUS and also strong which I love. Highly recommend!!

What a lovely shop. We stopped in for a chai and breakfast. The burrito was delicious and the red salsa, hot. The chai was tasty, luckily not Oregon Chai brand. A brand I didn’t know that is on the sweet side instead of spicy. The staff was very friendly and I loved their decor. Beautiful flower image made me almost buy a coffee mug. Hope to visit again before we leave and hang out to work. Highly recommend.
