Chemn Cafe has been such a welcome addition to downtown Elgin! I can’t tell you how many times a day I’d get asked in my business where you can go get a cup of coffee nearby, and I hated that the only answers were the gas station and fast food places. Chemn has filled a big need in our community, and they have gone above and beyond to support those who need it during the pandemic and the severe winter weather. More than just a coffee shop, for sure!!!

An excellent reason to come to Elgin- Love this cute coffee hangout! Great fresh local pastries, calm vibe, roomy place to work, have meetings and even lil’ shopping.

This place is nice and welcoming. Not only was the coffee delicious but there are many options of pasteries to select from and different crafts to admire from local artisans throughout the cafe. Chemn Cafe is definetely the place to visit when in Elgin.

Great coffee shop with a nice selection of drinks and eats. We love the atmosphere of this business as laid back but you can tell they support community . We drive from Bastrop several times a month to go to Chemn Cafe as we don't have anything equal in Bastrop.

Cute little coffee shop with a very friendly barista. The ambiance is great for working or meeting up with a friend for a cup of coffee in the afternoon. The place was very welcoming and unpretentious as many coffee shops can be. The only thing I’d change is staying open later for that after work pick me up. I look forward to making this place a regular in Elgin. It was much needed.

Cozy and quaint. The staff here was so friendly and suggested some delicious drinks. Ended up getting some trinkets that were for sale too. Great place for coffee or tea.

Very quaint spot. Came in just to do some work. Had a couple seltzers. Zero issues. Worth a try!
