Chemn Cafe

It is so disappointing for a small town experience.
I thought Texas was immune to that lack of common curtisiy
They were very friendly with other customers seated and talked right past me to other people.
I did not even get we will help you in a minute.
I type this sitting in front of another similar coffee shop miles away.
Where a smile and great coffee was my reward for going where I was appreciated.
I have since talked to another local who also will not go back.
Maybe it's if you are young and known and hip you get faster and friendly service.
I will probably never find out.

Chem Cafe is truly a small town locally owned coffee shop. The owner is friendly and really does believe in supporting their town. Chem Cafe is definitely an important part of our small town!

Nice people, yummy breakfast tacos, not very good coffee. I was there for the Hog eye festival and they had breakfast tacos that day and I got coffee that morning. Unsure why they commented that they were closed when I posted the review. I did it later in the day. I love coffee but my friend and I were not happy with theirs.

Thanks for having me over today, girls! This lovely coffee shop housed me while I worked away from home today and it was great. Good coffee, good vibes and good company.

Great place to have coffee if you live in Elgin. Cozy and nice vibe. The owner Deja is friendly and welcoming. Worth checking out!

These ladies are all absolutely amazing! Always such a wonderful experience coming in and getting great coffee. I just tell them what flavors I’m in the mood for and they always have the perfect coffee to make me. My husband recently discovered the Broo bar and he is hooked haha. Such a variety of things here you can’t go wrong stopping in daily!

A very cute little cafe. Highly recommend you pop into this little gem. Have some coffee and some wonderfully baked kolochies. The owner is a lovely lady.

A much needed addition to our little town of Elgin. Our town may be small, but their coffee is big in flavor and personality! Austin can keep its Starbucks, we have much better coffee at Chemn.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have lots of options for different ways to get your caffeine- Chemex (one of my favorites), French press, americano, or just plain drip coffee if you like to keep it traditional. Of course you have your cappuccino, latte & excellent cold brew options too.

This place is worth going out of your way if you're passing through & looking for better options than Starbucks & McDonalds!

Always puts a smile on my face to walk in & see a coffee shop full of customers, especially in a small town where businesses struggle to stay afloat. I hope they're able to stick around a long time, and from the looks of it, they're on the right path! They have a great niche, with a great unique theme (chemistry). Towns people have welcomed them with open arms. You will see a couple teenagers in line, a farmer sitting at the bar drinking coffee, an artist planning their next piece of art at a table.

There's always locally made art, jewelry, and other products for sale as well.

I came from Round Rock and decided to stop by here for a little treat with my mom. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Even though it's a 35 minute drive, I would come again! The Danish was served warm and so flaky and my mom said she could have a dozen more of the raspberry cookies. A wonderful experience
