Corner Bakery Cafe

I ordered breakfast one morning while I was visiting my daughter in Corpus for a few days. The Anaheim panini, chocolate muffin and cinnamon crumb muffin were amazing! I have added this restaurant to my list of favorite places to eat.

Great place to get a meal with excellent staff. The Manager Elliott was a huge help to my family. He knows what he did but much appreciated. Will be back many more times.

It was our first vist the coffee ☕ was extremely strong really didn't enjoy it even with cream and sugar 😑. I always drink it black.

The food and pastry are always great! The cleanliness of the booths needs improvement, though. I do not stay to eat very often but this is the 2nd time I've seen a small roach crawling on the seat in a booth. So many crumbs in the crevices between the seat and back of the booths! Really need to step up their cleanliness so it matches their food quality!

First time eating there yesterday. Had the Uptown turkey sandwich made to a panini and an Asian salad. They were both great! I can’t wait to go back. Service was fine. Place was very clean.

First time trying this place out. It was ok. I liked it. I had a side caesar salad, small bowl of chili & chicken carbonara w/ garlic bread. Sweet tea to drink & a slice of lemon pound cake to go. Definitely got full & will definitely be coming back to try out other things on the menu.

I came to order breakfast ,as I was at the counter ordering I glanced at the lemon pound cake with looked amazing. The price was $2.59 per slice I thought it was a bit steep but decided to purchase one anyway. Once the server brought my meal I noticed the pound cake slice was half the size as noted in the front, when I asked the lady she says "oh it's only for display purposes " I felt that my decision was based on what I saw if I would have known the size of it for that price that would not have purchased it very deceitful.

I visited Corpus Christi for business several days ago. It rained the entire stay. I was hungry and wanted something light yet tasty. As a Washington, D.C. native and being familiar with the chain, I decided to dine-in. Christina took my order and was extremely friendly, well-groomed, and had a great sense of humor. These characteristics seemed to be the theme at this establishment (everyone being well-groomed and friendly). After sitting down, my food was brought to my table, and I ate and talked on the phone. Mariah was prepping the dining area for the store's closing; however, she checked on me several times, asking if I needed anything else and removing empty plates from my table.

As I was packing up to leave, close to the store's closing (around 8:45 pm), I noticed Christina dash out of the store (in the rain, with no jacket on) attempting to catch a patron who had just left the store. The customer left without one of the food items they had ordered. It was very dark in the wet parking lot, and the driver didn't see her flagging them down. She caught them before they could pull out of the parking lot and handed them their missing items.

I stood in the restaurant, watching the entire thing. I was soo blown away at the level of customer service. I asked her why did she do it, and her response was "They were nice; We close shortly, and by the time they would have gotten home and realized something was missing, would have been closed." This level of respect for customers should be recognized and praised!

While the food is usually pretty good and so is the service. The last two times I have been there, their service had been below par. Orders have not been made per my request. One was a dine in and the other a take out. At least during the dine in I caught their mistake. Take out was another story, so check your order before you leave, or buyer beware. Please fix yourself Corner Bakery it is not just the food that kept me coming back it was also your once amazing service.
