Cute little restaurant, friendly staff. Food was served promptly, only a regular average time. Presentation was not fancy but everything looks tasteful. My plate was the bagel with salmon, although it tasted ok I’d prefer the bagel toasted, not sure if it sit for too long after toasted but it felt a bit saggy when I took a bite. Everything else tasted good.

This place is such a gem. Small quaint cafe in burton. Wonderful staff, excellent service, and most importantly amazing food. Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfast meals. This was by far one of the best I’ve had. The hollandaise was absolutely incredible.. I’ve tried replicating it at home and haven’t even come close. If you’re in the area or passing through I highly recommend stopping and enjoying Blue Willow Cafe. You will truly be amazed!

I had salmon Benedict here on a quick trip to burton with my husband. It was one of the best meals I think I’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The hollandaise had the perfect amount of lemon, the English muffin was nice and crisp and the salmon was great! The cafe is beautiful and the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Nice hidden gem. Stopped for a late breakfast while cruising down 290. Last minute decision to stop as we located the restaurant on Google maps as we looked for a breakfast joint to stop at. Wow! We had the most delicious pancakes (CAKES) we've ever had. Nice atmosphere and great small town service. We live in Houston and we will drive 1 hr to get breakfast there again. PANCAKES, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tammy was fantastic to work with for my bridal luncheon this past Friday. Her food was phenomenal and her restaurant is adorable. She helped us create a custom menu and setup the table beautifully to help us kick off our wedding weekend. Cannot say enough things about how helpful and kind she is!

It happened to be conveniently located when we wanted lunch on our road trip, and certainly exceeded expectations! Food was lovely and they went above and beyond to help with my irritable toddler. Would certainly go again if we’re ever in the area!

The food was mediocre. I ordered biscuits and gravy and when the food came out I asked for a little more gravy since there wasn’t a lot on my biscuits. When I got the receipt I was up charged for having a “custom order” and was not previously warned about it. On my way out I asked for a Togo cup for my coffee and was told it would be a charge. It felt like they were reaching for any dollar they could get from you.

Cotton Gen Festival Brunch visit 2021-

We decided to have breakfast at one of our favorites wile going to the festival and where not let down. The Bagel was fantastic and the potatos where perfect. So glad they are open again. Thanks for a great start to the day.

Valentine's Day 2019 Visit-

This Historic Cafe is under new management and has a new menu. Today's Valentine's special was well worth the price. The wonderful relaxing ambiance was a reminder of slower days and upscale mixed into one flawless experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The experience of their patrons truly come first. The 3 course special was priced at 27.00 a person and was a steal. First the apple crisp salad was fresh and sweet with just a hint of tangy from the blue cheese crumbles and pomegranate. I could have had just this and been satisfied because of the flavor palette and textures. Next came the main courses. We had the savory espresso encrusted New York strip and the salmon in limon cream sauce. Both were cooked to perfection and the flavors took our breath away. Next came the sweet indulgent desserts. We had the almond cream cake with raspberry sauce and the eclair cake. Both were superb in flavor. The rich and creamy decadence of the eclair cake was Devine, and the sweet and tangy pairing on the almond cream cake was superb. This little cafe is definitely going on our short list along with Christopher's World Cafe and The Vantage House at Messina Hoff Winery. We will definetly be back. Thank you for a great experience.

3/08/2019 - Lunch

Just as they were for Dinner on special occasions, their lunch special was tremendous. I had the stuffed meatball spaghetti. The meatball was well cooked with wonderfully tasty subtle flavors. The pasta was cooked just right and was a wonderful delight. The sauce was fresh and enlightening. The fresh in house made bread turned garlic toast was perfect as a finish. Overall still never let down by this wonderful hidden gem. Will keep trying all they have to offer. See attached photos for the wonderful food pics.

5/02/2019 - Anaversary Dinner

Another wonderful meal and experience. We went to one of our new favorite places to spend our special days at. This time we were out for our Anaversary Dinner and had a wonderful time. The owner was there and remembered us from our meeting on Valentine's day. It was wonderful to catch up. We had the blue cheese encrusted New York strip, and the Margherita Chicken. Both were out of this world. The subtle flavors of the chicken were masterful. The steak perfectly cooked and the matching of the crust and cut were magnificent. The play between it and the potatos was perfect. I put this meal on par with several 5 star 90 dollar meals I have had in the past. A great bargain and a wonderful hidden gem. I a beutiful little town. Thank you for such a great evening.

very nice small town bistro that specializes in innovative lunch and breakfast dishes. Amazing salads, great sandwiches and breakfast items. Outdoor dining area was very relaxing and service was super even tho we were the only table outside. Will return to this gem that is just off of 290 but beware- it is only open Fri thru Sun.
