Highly recommended. It is clear that this is where the locals go. People knew each other and were talking across tables and with the staff.

Amazing prices for the amount you get. I was attempting to get something small, so I got the 1 egg with ham. I got what seemed like a whole large potato worth of hash browns, 2 large pancakes, a 1/4 inch thick slab of ham, and 1 egg. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was excellent.

The meal cost the same as the biggest breakfast at McDonalds, came with more, and was much better tasting. If you have a couple extra minutes, why would you ever go to fast food.

Overall great experience. Very busy but we did go on a Saturday at lunch. There was a bit of a wait but worth it! Food was SO GOOD! I had the chicken caesar wrap. My friends had the Blue Willow burger and milk shake and the turkey club. No complaints.
Staff was friendly and quick.
It's a little crammed in the dining area, just a heads up.

This is honestly a high caliber place in the Wausau area.
Lets start with the atmosphere. It has a north woods cafe meets the 1980s feel with all the wood accents and booths. Its a brilliantly designed layout that allows for a cozy feel without a bad seat anywhere.

The location of this store is set in a quiet northside side where you feel safe and a part of the community. The parking lot and building are inviting and have a mom and pops feel rather a box chain.

The service was amazing. Tia our server was fast, extremely personable, and professional. All the staff cared about our experience from the time in the door to the last moment we walked out to leave. Friday nights there are the best and so are Saturdays.

The food was astronomically good. Our food was fresh and the quaility of ingredients farm fresh or top notch for our appetizer basket. The burgers were ground steak were cooked to absolute perfection. The burgers had a perfect sear and not dry. Our fries and salads were something from a menu picture and tasted as good. Our cheesecake rivaled that of of places i have gone to in New York.

The restrooms were clean as the entirety of the building was well. This entire location clearly is well kept and maintaned down to the murphys oil used to clean the wood. Not a dime of dust anywhere nor dirt on the floor. This place makes Eagles Nest look like a step down and i have been to both. It blows anything including Jakes Supper Club in Menomonie away.

Folks... go here and nowhere else in the area. You wont be disappointed.

We had just gotten done with an early doctor's appointment and when I googled cozy cafe, this restaurant came up. So very glad we decided to check it out. The staff were awesome, very friendly and quick. The breakfast, we chose to have the "special,"(2 eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast), it was perfect, everything was cooked to the way we like and all was delicious. Restaurant was very clean and busy with patrons, a lot of regulars, which is always a good sign. Food came out quickly and my coffee cup never got cool because they made sure if you wanted a warm up it was always there. Highly recommend this establishment and look forward to eating there again! Two thumbs up and five stars all the way. This restaurant should be very proud of their staff and their business.

I have gone to Blue Willow a handful of times and have never been disappointed. I’m always greeted kindly by the hosts and the servers are always friendly and quick. The food is amazing and very filling, the meat lovers skillet makes a great breakfast, lunch or dinner and I always get a big enough serving to bring some home with me. I tried the freshly squeezed orange juice today- amazing. My favorite local restaurant in the Wausau area!

I really enjoy the food at the Blue Willow, the portions are big and the food tastes great. The cooks, however, aren't always good at special orders. I asked for sautéed onion and green peppers on my omelet, and they were basically raw.

Lots of food on each plate. Enough for three meals. But the spaghetti and salad was waterlogged. Meatballs overly tightly packed. Pancakes were excellent. Syrup was without flavor and consistency. Omelet was huge and tasty. Again enough for three meals. The service was excellent.

The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. The portions are large and the prices are low. Definitely a place worth going to.

Always very busy, but the longest wait I've seen was 15min. As busy as it is the staff does an excellent job of checking on every customer. And the food was great.

Very much a local hangout. Food was good, service better. Hubby had spinach and mushroom omelette, I had eggs and bacon. Nice decor leaves u feeling like one of the crowd. 👍
