An absolute GEM of a bakery and coffee shop. I’m ever so grateful that Tough Cookie Bakery makes vegan and gluten free goodies. Amazing organic options, too. And their coffee and tea drinks are heavenly. Staff is super kind all the time. Puppy friendly, by the way! :)

I am addicted to the sugar cookies here! They have so many options for goodies that include but not limited to gluten free and vegan. Great food and even better employees. They make you feel at home with welcoming and friendly vibes. 10 out of 10!

Thank you for providing fun vegatarian/vegan options that are not cheese or iceberg lettuce! Their cookies are the best I’ve ever had. I love the BLT and African soup as well. I am excited to try more on their menu.

Neat little vegan friendly bakery with staff that are friendly and professional. The bakery has full meals, juices, tea, coffee, and fresh baked goods. Also, local artisan items at great prices. Highly recommend popping by!

Friendly service with a smile. We waited for our food for linger than expected. Pretty good food, but not every dish was equal. Same for pastries. Our group of 7 ordered a multitude of different dishes and pastries and shared bites. Mostly good. Biscuits were disappointingly dry and crumbly in all dishes we ordered. Avocado toast was tasty but tiny and Quiche was good. Salted Caramel cookie was ok. Oreo mint cookie sandwich was great, and fresh fruit cup was tiny.

What a Bastrop treasure this place is! A place worth finding if you are a visitor, a place worth supporting if you are a local. Whatever you DON'T like about St**b*cks, you will love about Tough Cookie. Hand made everything garnished with local warmth and character. Delicious coffee, (from a proper espresso machine) , quality baked goods, and vegetarian lunches in a rustic old schoolhouse building. Take the time to sit and chat with the locals or get some work done. Tough Cookie isn't just a bakery, it's an experience.

Staff is friendly, HUGE selection of baked goods including numerous vegan options. Fresh coffee, and a cozy atmosphere. Such a gem! Tough Cookie is a mandatory stop when were in Bastrop.

Great staff and what's available is usually really good. Waiting for more options, but this is my go to place for something healthy. Not many choices for healthy in Bastrop. A juice bar would be awesome to add!
Great desserts though!!!
