Wow! Exceptional Taiwanese food. Such a hidden gem in this cute truck food circle. The fried chicken is incredible - crispy and well seasoned on the breading, and juicy inside.
The 卤肉饭, pork over rice, a traditional Taiwanese dish, is incredible too! The portion is pretty large and can well last for a full day.

The owner was super nice! Totally recommended!

If I can rate this amazing food truck more than 5-stars, I would put my highest form of gratitude towards this place. I would If you want to find a food truck that has true heart, dedication, and an owner that provides the top grade quality to her food..This is the place to be. This truck is a must have in Austin. There is no food truck like this one. I’m from Taiwan myself and this food just makes me smile and makes me feel like home. Go check it out and take my highest recommendation!

Love the food here! Summer Noodle is filled to the brim with julienne cucumbers and carrots! However, considering the amount of noodles provided, the sauce portion is quite small. I hope there is an option to add more sauce in the future! The Pork Chops are marinated very authentically and the Chicken Bites are also great, especially the fried basil on top. The pickled cabbage that comes with the Tofu Chi is fantastic! I will, for sure, be frequenting this place!

I got the chicken bites, and it was really good. There’s basil in it and come with the sauce. The sauce compliments it well. The chicken flavor was nice, and it was slightly crispy and tender. Definitely recommended to try it. It cost around $11-12 after tax. It does take a lil bit of time to cook so be patient.

Generous portions and perfectly seasoned.
The Taiwanese bento box is a staple in Taiwanese culture and Song La brings convenience and well balanced meal options from Taiwan to Austin, TX. We stopped by today and picked up 3 bento boxes today. The rice was perfectly cooked. All the protein options were perfectly seasoned. Three boxes also came with 2 sides of veggies, which today consisted of cabbage and zucchini. The side of braised egg and tofu were a treat. And to top it all of were pickled radish and 2 sauces to balance out the flavors.

An incredible food truck! The food here is fresh, homemade, and of an extremely high quality! The Taiwanese chicken bento was out of this world, crispy and not greasy at all! The homemade veggie sides equally delicious. The portions and price are phenomenal! Cannot recommend Sonf La enough, each bite is a little dance for your tastebuds. The owner is so nice and friendly too! Amazing job :)

The absolute tastiest food truck in Austin. Song La is a woman run food truck in Thicket Food Park and the flavors of the Veggie Bento Box are incredible! It’s what I get every time. Tofu with cabbage, rice, kimchi, and delicious sauces—this is the hidden gem. You don’t be disappointed!

Delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. The basil chicken is a must! Came right at 11am on a Friday and there was plenty of parking and only a few people already here. Ordered via Square and ate at the food park, which was lovely and shaded with water misters. I got the pork chop bento, chicken bites, and pork belly bento (not shown) - all delicious!

Fantastic experience! Meals are wonderfully balanced and full of flavor. Would definitely stop by here again next time I’m in Austin.
