This place is amazing! We stumbled upon this gem accidentally and it was perfect. Great outdoor space away from the street. Food was excellent! We got the chicken karaage, oak grilled snap peas, and crispy potatoes. To drink, we had the aki sour and mandarin margarita - both were fantastic! Some others in our group got various bowls and loved them. The only thing someone in our party tried that wasn’t a hit was the kettle corn and burnt ends. Just not quite what we were looking for. Highly recommend this spot! Great food, great drinks, & great atmosphere!

Loro is exceptional on a few levels: they offer a broad menu that bridges Asian bistro and Texas BBQ seamlessly, it’s the easiest place in town to get Franklin’s brisket, and they move food out quickly even during large rushes.
The cheeseburger is one of the best in town and I highly recommend it—the pickles on it are so tasty and perfect. The Malaysian chicken and tofu rice bowls are great as well. For sides, you can’t go wrong with fries, but the tomato and cucumber salad and the three bean salad are both pretty good.
In summation, Loro is awesome! There is a nice bar across the street too called Black Sheep Lodge where you can hang out after eating.

Awesome experience! We ask for the sesame rice noodles (so good!), the chicken karaage, the char siew pork belly in a rice bowl (thrilling combination of flavors), and the smoked prime beef rib (just incredible). The service is very nice, they are super cool, and also we wanted to try the key lime pie but it was a lot for 2 people and they give us one as a present to take home! The place is very cool, not fancy at all and super relax. We eat at the bar and we loved it.

Loro is my favorite place when I travel to Austin for work. Within two weeks I ate there three times. The happy hour lets you have the delicous fried chicken sandwich and chicken karaage for a few dollars off each. The taste is amazing. There is a lot of outdoor seating and on a hot day there is a massive indoor section to cool off. The boozey slushees drinks are amazing during happy hour. Everything is good here and worth the full price. But if you can show up at 2PM might as well as save some money or order extra.

I consider myself a foodie and have traveled to many places with one objective to try new cuisine. My visit to Austin was most memorable because of Loro.
The flavors and seasoning used in their dishes refreshed the palette with southwester herbs and Asian kick!

A fun place to go to with friends! The line wasn't that long at 11 am on a Saturday morning and we were worried since reviews said that the lines were super long. I love a good Asian fusion bbq and it delivered in terms of really unique dishes and good tasting dishes.
Good:
Really solid food. I liked the wonton chips as the appetizer since they were the perfect level of crunchy. The fried corn fritters were amazing as well - I ate so many of them. Creamed corn was yummy as well.
I also really liked the bo ssam since it came with lettuce wrap and the char siu was memorable as well.
Bad:
Not as big of a fan of the smoked salmon or the edamame dishes.
More causal place, so no service and you have to bus yourself. More pricey as well.
Overall really liked this place and found it really unique in terms of the food and what it all tasted like.

Amazing atmosphere with delicious food! I don’t particularly mind the concept of ordering your own food at the bar. There was a very small wait for a table but we were able to order drinks in the meantime. Also the wait itself was shorter than expected. The food was amazing though. The Chicken Karaage really outshone the Crispy Potatoes and Kale & Asian Pear Salad (both of which were respectively good). Th Smoked Prime Bavette was so satisfying being cooked and plated to perfection. The Smoked Brisket & Curry Shrimp rice bowls were outstanding ; with fresh and balanced flavors that have a unique flavor profile. While the plates were not exceedingly overfilled we did not leave hungry. Drinks were also surprisingly good and fairly priced. 10/10 would recommend!

The food was good, but it was not worth the price. They don't offer a wide selection, and almost everything is spicy.
I got the smoked salmon rice bowl, and the best part of it was the rice. The pickled veggies were good, but there was definitely a lot of cilantro on it. Salmon was good, cooked for a little bit longer than it should. Again, it's not worth the price of $14.75, but I could be persuaded.
I also got the Thai peanuts, not worth $4.50. It comes in a small bag, but all the peanuts were all coated in the lime and spicy seasoning.
The Chicken Karaage (picture attached) was amazing. Best thing on the menu, honestly. A tad greasy, $7.50, but worth it. Despite all that, it was still crispy and had a lot of flavor. Cilantro on it was pretty useless. I split it with my friend.

This was such an awesome experience! We decided to sit outdoors which had table heat lamps.
We started with assorted pickles. They are a must and a great addition to the meat. The fried chicken was one of my favorite as it had a bit of honey drizzled over.
The brisket sandwich was also amazing and a huge portion.
Can't wait to come back!!

Great for non-vegetarians, but they do have tofu and a plethora of sides of course if that’s your thing. I was told by the person who took my order that if they gave the Impossible Burger or Beyond Burger their special treatment it still “wouldn’t be meat”. No, duh! That’s kinda the point!
The jasmine rice is very delicious though! I took the photo of the dish and was told that it was very good.
