Great new Mexican seafood restaurant with lots of raw options and a seafood tower! The menu is quite big with lots of options for everyone. Grilled shrimp, grilled squid, and clams were a standout dishes but overall everything was great. There is a woman in the kitchen pressing tortillas and grilling them on the plancha to order which is a clear indicator of the quality and care of the food here. The design of the space is absolutely beautiful!
Yes. Yes. Yes. Really creative and tasty food that was fresh and flavorful. The tuna carnitas, amazing. The large chips and dipping sauce that it comes with, very good. Fish tacos. Glorious. i hate corn tortillas and I was bummed I couldn't get a flour tortilla, then once I ate a corn tortilla I wanted more corn tortillas. So good. The only dish that missed the mark for us were the peel and eat shrimp. But to each their own, everything else was great. And the service was top notch. Five stars for sure.
Absolutely fantastic! Hands down the best grilled shrimp of our lives. Their tamarind chocolate torte makes me want to never taste any other chocolate desert in my life but that one, in order to avoid tarnishing the memory of what chocolate can be. Amazing aqua frescas and michelada. Delicious in house salsas. The staff have a friendly professionalism that leads one to believe that the work environment must be quality. Our server was sublime, so sweet and super knowledgeable about every dish down to how they are made. Beautiful garden out back. This is the type of place where everything you order will be a marvel so you can't go wrong and you must return!
Delicious menu! Plenty of options even if raw fish isn’t on your pregnant wife’s menu! Great drinks too! Service was attentive and informative. Staff also was friendly in providing recommendations on where to catch some great music in the area. Would definitely come back!
Insanely good. I'm originally from Austin, but have been living in Denver for the last decade. Came into town and had one opportunity to snag a good meal. This was the right choice. Exceptional ambiance, service and food. Definitely recommend a reservation, although there is usually walk in space and they have a text system if you have to wait, which will allow you to grab a drink at one of the nearby bars. We are adventurous eaters with minimal food preferences, so we simply allowed our waiter to pick each course, and he nailed it. Every single thing we ate was unique, and unbelievably good. Better than I expected, even with the stellar reviews.
I was very excited to snag an opening night reservation!
I was a little nervous to go right away thinking the chefs would be stressed or food would take a while to come out and all of these thoughts were wrong.
Staff was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and professional! - Thank you Colette!
Since Este is so new, our waitress guided us through the menu with their recommendations and never missed.
To start I had the Classico Marg - just perfect. Tequila was so smooth.
All the food was insanely good, but the unique and incredible dishes were: - Tuna Tiradito - Grilled Squid
The other dishes we had, which were amazing, were: - La Corona Torta - Trout Pulla
The thing that impressed me the most was the diversity of all the dishes. Even though Este has a certain theme, the dishes tasted of fusion from all over the globe. The grilled squid had a Mediterranean twist on it. The Trout Pulla had a comforting cream style sauce paired with it - so flavorful and great contrast from the Grilled Squid.
We ended the meal with a fantastic Tart , when paired with Dulce De Leche was immaculate for this fall season.
Over all, Este was worth the wait! So tasty, so unique, and so special.
Fairy easy to get a reservation for Sunday dinner for 3. Great service with robust wine menu. You can enjoy their happy hour even on Sundays to indulge on 50% off Oysters and all wine bottles. The food was amazing and flavorful, I recommend ordering Ceviche and Tostada. I wish they had a bit more options for the kids other than cheese quesadilla but overall it's a great restaurant.
This restaurant has so much promise. The atmosphere and the wait staff are great! I really enjoyed the drinks. The food left more to be desired. The squid was too charred and didn't have other flavors to combat it. The ceviche was alright but I've had better homemade ceviche. I would come back for a drink but eat somewhere else.
This place was every bit as amazing as I had hoped. I just *had* to know what tuna carnitas taste like (so good!) and the grilled squid was totally different from anything I've ever had before. Another standout was the coffee ice cream which was possibly the best ice cream I've ever had. And just for added excellence, unlike so many other restaurants, the place was not deafeningly loud so we could have a comfortable conversation at the table. We can't wait to go back!
If you enjoy seafood in a Mexican style, this is an amazing spot. Good cocktails, beautiful environment, the shrimp in the shell was a little weird for us (you eat it with the shell), this isn’t a mainstream menu, but it’s all good. They seemed understaffed, service was slow, as seems to be the case many places these days. The cornbread dessert was a huge hit!
