Dear Diary,
There is this cafe in my city that I really love; it has a hip vibe with beautiful interior, great baristas, and great drinks. Every time I go to that part of the city, I stop by to enjoy a cold brew. Parking is convenient, and it’s close to bus routes. Oh, it’s called “Dear Diary”, such a coincidence!

Was looking for decaf coffee options, so tried there Streamers. Very fabulous and you have a options to add espresso shots if needed. Really loved the flavors. Definitely worth trying out. Oat milk is nice and creamier.

For vegans visiting ATX this is the BEST place for coffee and morning pastries! Bradley served us both times we visited and the costumer service was 10/10! The lavender and earl gray scones and the strawberry pop tarts are amazing! Coffee is absolutely great as well and definitely worth the price! Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in ATX!

Great Coffee! Quick service.
They are known for their vegan coffee options.
I ordered the iced mocha. It was perfect.
I would highly recommend this place.

UPDATE: Adding a star due to management’s responsiveness and sincere desire to create a positive experience with customers. It’s much appreciated 💗 Honestly might have just been a one-time off experience.

I wanted to love this place 💔
CONS: I stopped in during the Austin Studio Tour on 11/12am. I was the only customer in line and stood at the counter while the employees saw me, didn’t greet me and continued to finish their personal conversation. I was far more friendly and welcoming to them than they were to me. I tried to not let this color the experience. I asked for the nitro cold brew. They were out of nitrogen so I was offered the regular cold brew.. totally fine, it happens. Then was asked if I wanted anything in it… I said 2% was fine, forgetting they were a vegan coffee shop. The employee was pretty rude and short with me when correcting me on this. It came across very pretentious and judgmental. No problem… I was fine with almond milk. So I paid, tipped on principal and left. It was easily the worst coffee I have had in a very long time. It tasted terrible. The almond milk look separated. I took two sips and had to throw it out.

PROS: the location is very cute and I love that they support local artists.

The staff nailed the drink recommendations. I got the iced mushroom coffee and my boyfriend got the golden milk - both were sooo tasty! They also made them really quick.

The overall vibe of this coffee shop is chill and artsy. I think the community sketchbook is a fun idea!

First time at Dear Diary and our barista Rachel was amazing! I’m always the chaotic one with lots of questions and she was so kind and helpful. Bonus for the free lemon curd samples!

What a cute little vegan coffee shop! Even though they were out of the food I wanted, the barista helped me choose a more than suitable delicious burrito alternative!

Lots of fun things to look at and impulse buy, too!

Dear Diary Coffee was on the top of our list during our trip to Austin! Right as soon as we walked in we felt comfortable and excited to try this wonderful place. It’s nice to go somewhere as a Vegan knowing I can order without asking “is this vegan?!”

Also Miles took care of us and they were wonderful! Providing us with not just great suggestions of what to get but also places we could go and enjoy our stay in Austin! We will be going back here for sure!!!
