We were seated immediately and our order was taken. Then we sat, ignored, for 30 minutes while people who came in after us were given their food. After being checked on once after 30 minutes to be told they were out of biscuits (no big deal) and that are food would be right out, we waited another 30 minutes before we left. I understand being short staffed, but I do not understand other people getting food before us when we were there before them. And no updates or checking on us. Do not recommend unless you have time to kill. Ended up going to H-E-B for donuts.

They force you to wait to be seated, and had us waiting 7 minutes at the door to be seated. With 4 customers eating and 6 members of the wait staff just walking around and starring. Never got seated. Because we also witnessed discrimination, we left. If your not white and elderly they are not very nice. Even though Mr. Gomez owns the restaurant doesn't mean discrimination doesn't accure. He wasn't even present. Just walk in and you will see what is going on. It's so sad to because it has gone done since 2005. 😪 And our community would love to experience more of locally owned businesses and show support.

Absolutely love the waitstaff in evenings. The mother and daughter team is reason why we come. Just love those two, they brighten the place. Won't go on other days a couple of the staff is rude and just not meant to be in public, shame a business would allow that behavior, burping and passing gas in front of customers and that mouth, such a shame. It has the potential to be a great place too.

Terrible food. They have a sign asking for your patience because they are short staffed so my party of 2 waited 42 minutes to be seated on top of 24 minutes to take the order. Once my hash browns came it looked like smash potatoes with no flavor. I tried returning them asking for crispy but it was such a long wait that I just left.Never Again!

First time being at the Bakery Cafe. I loved seeing the old pictures of the Bakery and of Aransas Pass. Lots of history. Friendly staff, although they are short handed. Food was delicious. Interesting they serve breakfast after 2:00 pm. I will be back again to try the breakfast French toast and bacon!

Signage indicates a closing time of 8pm.
I’ve noticed in the last few months they close whenever.
Food is good but their hours of operation are not dependable, especially if it’s one of the few sit-down places and the only one that isn’t a Mexican food place that is open evenings.

Great food. Hometown atmosphere. Friendly staff. A lot of history. A definite "Must Try" if you've never eaten there or are just visiting Aransas Pass.

We had the best meal here late on a Saturday night. Steak and shrimp was to die for and so was the chicken and mushrooms Fresh steamed carrots as a side and the best decaf. Not to mention Stellar customer service by the lovely Julie.
