Opened since 1929! Always have great experiences here, been coming here for many years! Right across from H‑E‑B in Aransas Pass, cross the Ferry ⛴ your here. Best homemade food! They have specials daily. I order the whiting fried fish, add 3 jumbo shrimps, mashed potatoes, fried orca and fresh fries! Carbed it up. Always fresh and hot food. My friend got hot roast beef sandwich! Whatever you get here I assure you it’s always worth a cheat! Very short staff so be patient with them, because they are all so sweet and kind!! ❤️🙌🏼❤️ ty so much for your consistency ✌🏻☮️🥰☀️

I seriously don't know what took me so long to finally dine at the Bakery Cafe in Aransas Pass. This place was established in 1929!!! Our waitress was so nice and they seem to have plenty of workers! The place is very well kept!
We went old school. We started off with an order of basic nachos...refried beans with melted cheese on top of light crispy corn tortillas and an order of beer battered onion rings!! Both were delicious! The onion rings were full of flavor, light, crunchy and sweet. Mom ordered herself a simple bowl of delicious chili and I ordered a Homemade cheeseburger with fries! Everything met our expectations! Been a long time since I've enjoyed a true original homemade cheeseburger! Slice of apple pie for later!

The food is good, but the atmosphere in the temperature of the restaurant on a cold front day was freezing. Telling the waitress for the hostess did no good and the table next to us and in front of us also complained about it being too cold in the restaurant. The food can be as great as all get out but if the temperature is too cold for eating, no one has a comfortable experience. The waitresses answer was, “our managers and owners don’t wanna turn it up the temperature!” Sucks! We got out as fast as possible!!!

And then we find out the COOK LOST THE TICKET. will never be back and I promise you this I will tell everyone I know DONT GO HERE!

We were on vacation the week of December 13th. My husband and my son and I went there for breakfast and of course everything was really really good. A couple days later we went back for lunch. I was very unhappy. I got grilled fish two little pieces, mashed potatoes with gravy they were instant I was actually hoping for real mashed potatoes, and coleslaw which was in a container and had like a tablespoon Maybe. My son got the grilled fish also same amount, a salad which was good, and also coleslaw that had like a tablespoon or so in it. It's really disappointed me because everything was good before. I had never eaten lunch there before probably not again.
We were staying at Port Aransas but I saw reviews for this restaurant online. I am so glad I found this place. It was so worth the ferry ride and little drive to get there. We had breakfast both times and it was excellent. I can't wait to go back so we can try lunch or supper. All the employees were so nice. They kept coming around to see if we needed anything else. My husband and I were both well pleased. The food was amazing and I'm not really a breakfast person. But I had the pancakes and sausage one day and the Omelette that had everything in it. It was so good. I recommend this place to everybody. Can't wait to go back there!

Only four stars for atmosphere due to it needing a face-lift. Food was great. Home style. With flavor and service was great. I will return!! Thank you folks.

The food is always good. I love the deli atmosphere and it could have been decorated so cute for Christmas but not even a tree, garland or light. The waitress and hostess acted like they didnt want to be there which was sad.
They did not have vegetarian options.
It is more on the line of home cooking.
I wanted meatloaf however they did not have any on the menu.

O how sad, yet another unsatisfying visit here! Cold, hockey puck like biscuits, overcooked and dried out....yuck! Cold eggs, sausage was ok, soggy Hash browns.....gross! And let's not forget to speak of the staff.... just as much like their food.... disappointing. Well, this is the final strike for this Critic.....where do I score below one star!?! If you are a local and well known...O you can certainly expect A1 service....but be new and of ethnicity..... forget any proper service. Silly me, I thought that stopped years ago! Shame on y'all! Everyone who comes through the doors should be TREATED THE ABSOLUTE SAME! BOO BOO BOO! There's plenty of other choices within the Aransas Pass area..... don't worry we won't be returning to your establishment....three strikes and you're out!

Served us cold cheese sticks. Cook lost our order and waitress never checked on said order. Sat there over an hour when we found out the good news. Food is not that good to wait for that long just to find out that we are not getting the sub par food to begin with. Will avoid in the future. Also closed before they normally do at 8pm. Bakery Café in Rockport is better.
Also, they let the people next to us feed a dog ON the table, not service dog. We love our dogs but I do not eat with them.

We were served really fast.
Our food was delicious as always and serving amounts were great.
I absolutely recommend Bakery Cafe to anyone that is in the mood for delicious food.
