They have been fixing the little place up. The food is always decent and the people are always nice. Great place to catch up with old friends

Although I barely ate my meal I cannot help but give this little cafe 4 stars. I felt very welcomed and appreciated buuut... my food wasnt cooked enough. My chicken fried steak was not quite browned and my fried squash was soggy with cooking oil. They apparently did notice i didnt eat much and asked if I was full (I ate the mashed potatoes and was full) however if they had only asked if everything was ok, I would have told them I wasnt happy with how the meal was prepared. It was my first time there and I did feel a little uncomfortable not knowing if I was supposed to seat myself or wait to be seated. There was nobody to greet me for several minutes. I'm sure they were just having an off day based on their reviews. I would recommend the next time they see a customer who hasnt eaten their meal and doesn't want a take out container....ASK. Was everything ok?

The staff was wonderfully friendly, great service. The best biscuits and gravy. Whole meal was just absolutely yummylicious. New loyal customer. Thank you

Had a pleasant visit here. Ordered the Chicken fried chicken, it was delicious!! The waitress was very attentive.

The food was good the server's were excellent. The water and coffee were different kind of awful. I didn't let my kids drink the water. I was scared it was contaminated. I took a sip from coffee and spit it back in my cup. I just came he and made coffee to make sure it is not me. It's not.Please buy or change a water filter. If water is the most common ingredient and there's is bad. What does it tell you about the care of there food.

The woman next to me sent her steak back because it was under cooked. Instead of making her a new one, they put hers back on the grill. The manager in charge said he was not aware that this was a health code violation. Seriously? I will not be returning.

Delicious! Great made from scratch food that tastes just like your mother used to make. The omelette's are fantastic, can't go wrong with ordering some of those.

I called to see if they serve breakfast all day. Lady answered the phone and said just a moment please, placed the phone down for 10mins NEVER came back to the phone. So I drive up there and stand for about 5mins and no one said anything to me. I will never go back to this place or support this business: Very rude and not a good first impression.

Great place,reasonable prices,nice staff. Honesty let cooking. Close to Rv sales in Alvarado.
