Hickory Street Cafe

This is a hidden gem of Abilene. I cant stop ordering the chicken salad variations. This place gets busy but the wait staff got our order right the first time and kept my tea full without hovering. Great atmosphere too!

The food was really good and good portion. We asked our waitress to ask the chef what kind of cheese was used in the quiche but she would not tell us. Not cool. Didn't want the recipe just the cheese. Oh well.

You can't go wrong with this place. Today's potato soup was thick with cream and the chicken salad and zucchini bread are always wonderful. So grateful a friend treated me to lunch!

I always get the same thing when I go. The chicken zucchini plate is the best! The spinach casserole is to die for, and their beans are the best in town! Not to mention, the Strawberry Mango Margarita is delicious!

My green chili and sausage quiche was great as usual but one of our party ordered the roast sandwich and it was not good at all. The bread was rubbery and roast flavorless. Zucchini bread great as usual.

Oh WOW! Amy catered the MOST wonderful Sat luncheon for approx 35 family members (put together in 24 hours) that I have EVER TASTED!

Chicken salad sandwiches to 3 kinds of cakes! She brought it all, set it up in our hotel, and served it w’out a hitch!

It was a HIGHLIGHT of a hard day.

This is a must-see lunch spot in Abilene. The Chicken Salad is incredible, and don't miss out on the zucchini bread! The homey vibe is as great as the food!

My favorite brunch place in Abilene. Haven't come across one item I don't like. I am always in awe when I try something new and when I come back I have difficulty deciding what I want! So good! recommend 10/10!

Stopped here while traveling through and this place did not disappoint! The food and drinks were delicious and even my 2 year old could not eat the mac n cheese fast enough!
