Swiss & Turkey croissant!! Zucchini bread!! Great staff! And all inside a cute historic house. Save room for dessert.

Love this place. The taco salad is delicious and you have to get the Zucchini bread. Waits can be long so go early or order to go.

Love, love, love this Cafe! And their raspberry tea, and of course their famous chicken salad and zucchini bread. Fun cozy atmosphere if you haven't eaten here you're missing out! This is my go to eatery for out of town guests, they are always impressed!

Always great food with fast friendly service! I usually get the Harvest Salad with Peach or Raspberry Tea but all the sandwiches are good and so is their zucchini bread (also available as Gluten Free)!

Always lovely food with amazing (& fast!) service. If you haven't tried their soups, order a cup with your entree... and take dessert to go!
This is on my "recommend" list to anyone new to Abilene. The cafe serves soups, salads, quiche & light lunch fare make it great for a business lunch or an intimate lunch with friends. Special note: they have their favors zucchini bread ALSO available in a gluten free version & it's WONDERFUL!

Food was delicious! Even after my son spilt his water on my wife, the meal was still great!

Love this cafe! Their chicken salad croissant sandwich is delicious and their peach tea is yummy and generous portion! We love getting a loaf of zucchini bread to go as well. Excellent setup for COVID with outdoor pickup window and some outdoor tables! (Indoor dining also offered and staff seem to diligently wear their masks)

Adorable, well appointed Victorian house with several dining areas inside and out. The staff is gracious and attentive, the food is delicious and the zucchini bread is a good finish although the desserts looked amazing also. There is also a cute gift shop at the entrance where I bought several gift items and a cook book for my daughter. The coffee and tea were both brewed perfectly. The quiche and salad were so delish! The Hickory Street Cafe is a great spot for a bridal luncheon or really any celebration.

First time here. Wife has been asking me to go. Had the chicken salad and got some zucchini bread to take home. Good atmosphere and friendly service.
We'll be back to try other things.
