Trout Mountain Coffeehouse & Inn

You will love your stay with Cheryl! The room is so comfortable. The down comforter was amazing! Everything was so clean. And the breakfast isn't your usual continental breakfast! We had steak and wild mushroom crepes!

We stayed in the Inn. It was beautifully appointed. attention to detail. He sent French press coffee to our room in the morning.
The owners couldn't be more gracious.
Then breakfast was AMAZING. If you are any where in that area STAY THERE, EAT THERE!❤

I stayed at Trout Mountain for a few days earlier this month. Cheryl and Lance were exceptional hosts, and my room (Suite A) was wonderfully luxurious. My favorite features: big, squishy pillows; a deep bathtub; fun decor (check out the chandelier above the bed!); and a fully equipped kitchen. I've stayed in a few dozen Airbnbs in many, many places, and this was the cleanest one yet! So impressed by the attention to detail. I was also treated to breakfast in the café downstairs, which I can't recommend highly enough. Was grateful for both good wifi and coffee. I already loved visiting Tellico Plains before Trout Mountain opened up, but it's a such a positive addition to this sweet little town. Can't wait to visit again!

A must see. A must stop if you visit anywhere in southern Tennessee. Well worth the drive back there even if you are as far away as Chattanooga or Knoxville. Get your arss back to Tellico Plains and go see Cheryl and Lance.

Located just slightly off the main highway, in the historic district. Ask for the puff pastry filled with breakfast eggs and cheese and the fresh fruit bowl!! The way they serve the French press coffee ..many flavors!!

As for the rooms upstairs, just delightful! Super spacious and super clean. Attention to nice touch details in strategic corners. Best shower experience, spacious bathrooms. This place is top shelf.

Lastly the hosts are just the best. Friendly and inviting, hard working to make sure you are taken care of.

We so enjoyed our experience at Trout Mountain. Coffee House, the service was exemplar! Everything was delicious especially the puff pastries. Their French pressed coffee was so fresh and the Chantilly Cream was amazing. We definitely will return often.

These folks are great! My mother and I were driving through to see the skyway and in desperate need of some good coffee. We stopped by the coffeehouse which appeared to be open, but was in fact closed that day. I was pleasantly surprised to hear 'Do y'all need some coffee?', and was given some of the best espresso I've had in a matter of minutes free of charge! She wouldn't even accept a tip and urged us to come back when we can. Needless to say I will go out of my way to have coffee here the next time I am in the area. I don't think you will find a better quality brew for many miles in any direction!

This place is a hidden gem! Best coffee and breakfast in East Tennessee. In general, Tellico Plaines is an amazing town to have a quiet weekend in the mountains and recharge. If you are ever in this area, stop and get a coffee at Trout Mountain. Trust me.

This is the best omelette coffeehouse ever! Egg omelette with jalapeño hollandaise sauce is out of this world! Really. The owners are from a foreign country called California. ;-) But they are very friendly. :P Workers are too. Very pleasurable experience.

This is hands down the best place I have ever stayed at while road tripping. This was a last minute booking as I had just finished a long hike and had barely any service in the mountains. Cheryl and Lance were able to accommodate me last minute and boy did their Inn exceed my expectations. The rooms are located directly above their own coffee shop where they have an assortment of unique blends. This location is the definition of diamond in the rough. It is in the middle of nowhere and looks nothing like the surrounding shops but, IT WORKS. Cheryl and Lance go the extra mile and pay attention to detail. The room was squeaky clean and had nice little touches such as organic soaps, paintings, flowers and a very comfy bed. I had intended on roughing it during my trip but when I woke up in the morning I swear it felt like I had been hugged and was at home. Highly highly highly recommend staying here!
