Hunter's Bakery and Cafe

Great little restaurant in a historic building in downtown Sweetwater, TN. Lots of cute shops and restaurants all around!

The restaurant was pretty and the service was wonderful! However, the food was only okay. The Caesar salad was overpriced for the size, and the fried chicken tenders were obviously frozen ones. Additionally, I know that it was a historic building, but the bathrooms were so small and were barely accessible for most persons much less a person who uses a wheelchair. This was disappointing to see. This should be clearly made aware to customers at the front of the restaurant.

We all loved the cinnamon rolls--lots of cinnamon and slightly under-baked in the middle.

We went for the 1st time, yesterday, for lunch. This cafe has a wonderful old-time atmosphere that we love! Everyone was so sweet and our female server took great care of us too! I ordered the salad trio, chicken salad, pasta salad, & fruit salad and it was very good and hit the spot! Hubby ordered a regular hamburger and the meat is the best we've ever had in a burger; you must try it! We brought home oatmeal, peanut butter, and chocolate oatmeal drop cookies and they are all delicious, as is the piece of carrot cake we brought home, as well! We'll be back!

We visited Sweetwater for the first time. We were looking for a small treat to eat in the car in the way home. We entered Hunters Cafe randomly and were immediately greeted by a very professional young lady. She recommended her favorite treats, and we both chose their enormous chocolate chip cookie. The young lady wore a glove, and used a paper to grab the cookie. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the place. The cookie was amazing! We are now talking about going back there so we can try a meal. We would definitely recommend them!

Delicious chicken philly wrap! I love that you have the option of chips, fries, or sweet potato fries with no upcharge. Cookies are delicious!

Excellent food and deserts to die for. Hunters is open Tuesday - Friday 11-3 and Saturday 11-4. If you are planning an event Hunters also will accommodate private parties either in their dinning room or setting up in their private outdoor courtyard which has stage and bar area. Give Maria a call.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. My wife and I were passing through and stopped here. Before I looked at the menu, I envisioned overpriced bistro type food. I had a steak wrap and my wife had a chicken salad croissant. We also shared an order of their homemade chips. Starting with the chips, they came out hot and fresh and they were ruffled - so so good. My wrap was chock full of meat and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. My wife loved her sandwich as well. Best of all, the prices are more than reasonable - easily could have charged $2 more for each of our sandwiches and still would have been a good value.
