This place is great! I'm always amazed to see people at the starbucks across the street when this place exists 100 yards away. Bourbon vanilla latte, Amazing! Banana bread, Amazing! Breakfast sandwiches, Amazing! Sticky buns, Amazing! Cookies, Amazing! Everything here is great. Shop local, and support this great Nashville gem.

I sent this to their FB Messenger ( see below )
They read it .....and did not even bother to respond
Which makes my experience there even worse

I travel a lot for work. When I’m at my office in East Nashville I come here and bring people from my office. I absolutely love your vanilla lattes. However today the wait times have been ridiculous. I was in at 7am and ordered 2 of the chicken biscuits to go ( we were the only ones in the place ). It took over 35 minutes. I brought people back for lunch and we ordered 2 of the brunch entrees. It took 42 minutes. People seated before after us got food before us
I spent over $65 dollars today. Nobody once came over and said anything about the wait or apologized. I was almost made to feel crazy for asking the wait time. Just wanted to let you know. Not a good experience at all. I come here as the product is superior to most coffee shops. However , service matters !
Today was a complete fail

My favorite local place to get a coffee and baked good. I don’t understand how people wait in line at the Starbucks drive-thru across the street when this is here. Unbelievably tasty, always.

Really amazing spot with incredible biscuits, coffee, atmosphere.

It baffles me how the Starbucks across the street stays in business with slow hand so close. I've made a Friday morning tradition of enjoying a bourbon vanilla latte and a jalapeno corn muffin. If you'd like a pastry, get there early. They will sell out quicky.

I accidentally stumbled upon this lovely little spot, while pulled over looking for directions to another spot. And, boy, am I glad I did!!! Their baked goods are the only menu item I tried, but they’re all I needed! I purchased 3 cookies, 2 muffins, and a brownie, and every single item was amazingly scrumptious!!!

Great service and delicious meal, pastries and of course coffee, I ordered breakfast tacos, gluten free, double corn tortillas top with scramble eggs and cheese and bacon and on top crispy French fries with avocado green dressing, so so good, we met there with other moms friends and brought our children, they have a lots of space we had a great time, very clean place too and lots to pick from the menu for breakfast or brunch my friends got the chicken breast biscuit, it was huge, looked delicious too! Totally recommend this place

Based solely on service, we won’t be returning here. Our last three visits, over the course of a month, resulted in terrible service. Food waits of over 30 minutes for simple things, like bacon or eggs. Customer service is indifferent at best. On one of our visits we told someone that a large wooden corner was split and had scraped our knees as we slid into the booth. The response was “Yea, everything is kind of falling apart.” Today I visited with my toddler and we ordered the simple breakfast plate with a side of toast. After waiting 35+ minutes, there still wasn’t any food. That’s a long time to wait with a little one, and we weren’t the only ones not getting our food. I requested (and received) a refund - minus gratuity (a joke). There are better run places to visit for breakfast in East Nashville, and I’m sad to say I wouldn’t recommend anyone visit Slow Hand (note: review written in extreme hanger but based on multiple terrible experiences).

First visit was on a weekend brunch, so the line was huge the whole time we were there and the staff was a little frazzled. There were some minor miscommunications but they recovered well. I spent many years working brunches myself so I can relate. The chicken biscuit was outstanding, and that sauce on the Hey Jude tacos made that dish. The plates we saw on other tables looked fantastic so I will be back.
