The baked goods are incredible. Soft and moist brownies, muffins, and cookies. Great flavor. Coffee is always fresh tasting. I love this place!

I have been wanting to write a few for some time.
By far Slow Hand has the best coffee and pastries in all of Nashville. Incredible job by the culinary artists behind the scenes but from a returning customer standpoint I can’t take it anymore. Over the past 2 years this place has never been properly staffed or has the staff had any sense of urgency or common sense while dealing with customers.
It’s painful to experience such amazing food and drinks with such poor customer service.
This place could really benefit taking an internal look into its Slow Handed operations.
You’re wasting too potential and too many customers to not to write a review.

Good coffee and breakfast sandwich. Would only take away, missing a bit of atmosphere.

I drink straight espresso. The espresso here is only ok. They pull a longer shot. And they serve in a paper cup instead of a nice demitasse. The bakery has really interesting muffins which are really light and tasty. No croissants if that is your bag.

Come here for my morning coffee most days. The staff is awesome and I love how reasonably priced the drinks are!

Pastries are delicious, my only constructive criticism is that the last couple of times I've been there I've ordered cookies that ended up being raw in the center... Not great, but honestly something I can overlook. I think the other pastries are definitely a win.

Had a late breakfast this morning during their soft opening. The food was amazing. Huge, fluffy biscuits with offerings varying from house made sausage, local bacon, to steak cooked over their wood fired grill and all with cooked to order eggs. Mine were perfectly overeasy, just as I ordered. Counter Culture coffee and a great pastry selection for something quicker looked great. I can't wait for them to go to a regular menu after their soft opening to see what else they have in store for Slow Hand and the adjacent Pelican and Pig.

Went in this morning to grab a quick bite and some coffee. Ended up getting a Bourbon Vanilla Latte and several pastries. The coffee was absolutely delightful and the perfect temperature. Hands down, the lemon best poppy seed muffin I've ever had.

Very impressed. Ham biscuit was delicious and HUGE. The blueberry lime jam was great. I sampled my daughter's breakfast plate. Her eggs were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and so were her fries. The dipping sauce they serve with the fries was outstanding. My only negative comment is that there was only one small breakfast menu and it was sitting in front of the cash register. Hopefully they will post the menu on the wall where everyone can see it or print several that people can look at while standing in line. Looking forward to returning and trying more options!

If you are waiting in line at Starbucks, do yourself a favor and walk across the street to this place instead. This place has the BEST cheese danish. Light and fluffy with a hint of lemon and a vanilla cream cheese in the middle that will brighten even the gloomiest, rainy day. Coffee, lattes, cappuccino and some specialty drinks. Oh and if they have the breakfast biscuit sandwich (they sell out so fast!!!), ya just have to cause they are so damn good! Absolutely can not recommend this place enough, plus they are local.

I wanted to love this place. I stopped by to grab biscuits to take home for breakfast. I read the reviews and it seemed that the biscuits would be well worth it. As a baker and lover of biscuits, I was excited to try them since they're so close to my house. Unfortunately, the chicken biscuit I got for my husband lacked flavor (despite all the things on it) and the biscuit itself was doughy. The fried chicken's breading was falling off pretty seriously and it was overfried to the point of tasting a little too done. I got the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit which tasted much better, but the biscuit still had the issue of being slightly undercooked and a tad doughy. I think that the issue may come from the biscuits' size. They are so big to accommodate the sandwich stuff that I think the outside gets cooked much faster than the inside, so you get a crispy brown exterior and gummy inside.

On the bright side, the blueberry muffin was pretty delicious and was baked well and the iced lattes were fine (though Dose holds my coffee trophy at this time). I am not sure if the biscuit mishaps were just a bad baking day or the usual and others just aren't as critical because they aren't bakers. I might be willing to try again, though for a $10 biscuit, I'm not sure if it's worth it.
