The best place to grab great coffee and delicious fresh food! Can't forget their beer too! I love the live bands on Sundays :) as of 10.01.16 they have changed their hours of service: they are now closing at 7pm instead of 9pm. Service is always exceptional, like family. Food is made wh love and you can tell. Coffees for everyone, from straight black to sugary heaven!

Great little cafe/coffee shop! The tomato soup was incredible! I stopped in for lunch/afternoon coffee and wasn’t disappointed. Great weekend brunch selection with prices typical for cafes. The staff was extremely helpful for my first time visit. Parking might be difficult/isn’t free if you couldn’t walk there like I did. Only thing was unlike the name the shop seemed more cafe/food focused than coffee focused with a limited selection of caffeinated brews.

Amazing perfectly toasted bagel and a great environment!

I visited this place for breakfast. Wanted something easy, quick, and not too expensive downtown. Took a while for someone to notice I was waiting to have my order taken. Their system prompts you for a tip (even though I got a tiny sandwich to-go), so I tipped $1. The bacon and egg sandwich I ordered had literally 1 small slice of bacon crumpled inside, all for around $6. The tables and chairs had food particles stuck to them, so I hunted down a spot to wait. There weren't any napkins. The wait wasn't long.

Haven't tried the food (looked and smelt great), went there for the coffee. I'm a craft coffee, black only kind of guy. Walked in, the place is tight. Love the vibes. But they need to pay as much attention to training their staff as they do to the decor. I was been warned that coffee here is hit or miss depending on who is brewing it for you. I think I unfortunately hit the miss today. I ordered a pour over coffee (which I'm pretty sure she used a v60 cone with a Chemex filter. And when I asked her about the way I thought I saw her brew the coffee and she had no clue what I was talking about.) Then when I tried the espresso it was very bitter (something definitely went wrong here) and the pour over was just fine (didn't have any of the great notes which I've had when drinking metropolis's coffee up in Chicago).

A very nice establishment. The barista behind the bar greeted us as we came in, but not a lot of enthusiasm was shown. ( Note that this didn't bother me as I was completely satisfied with the greeting "Hello! I will be with you shortly.") I know some people want hugs-n-kisses upon entry. The place was clean. We arrived on a Sunday morning so only about 8 customers in the place at that time. I had the large latte with an extra shot...it was very good. The wife had The Tennessean and she thought it was awesome. If we get back to Memphis it will be on our spot to visit again. If you are a coffee lover and expect a quality brew then I highly recommend this joint. According to their menu breakfast is offered all day. Did not have breakfast, cannot comment on quality. Teas and chai tea is also offered.

Great atmosphere, great coffee. I am not a fan of the nitro cold brew, but if you are, I'm sure this is a great place for that. I had an amazing iced Americano. It was velvety and nutty and Starbucks cannot compare!
Would love to go back, but I don't spend much time downtown.

Tamp and Tap has the best BLT I've ever had, and yes, I have also had the one from Lisa's Lunchbox (also good but not as). Their brownies are great too. My husband had a turkey sandwich last week and loved it. They toast the bread just right. I have been multiple times to both the downtown and East Memphis locations. The downtown staff are a lot friendlier, and they have never gotten my order wrong whereas the East Memphis spot has more than once.

Went here on last day of my vacation for some late breakfast food. Great service. Great food. Chill atmosphere.

Tried the recommended Tennessee over ice and it was really great. Thought $5.50 was a bit expensive for an iced latte but it is at least 16oz so it was well worth it. The BLT was also amazing. They combined melted cheese with crumbled bacon to top the sandwich. Think it had balsamic glaze on top as well which was a great touch. Everything was very tasty and the decor was trimmed in nice thick wood planks. Very cool atmosphere. The barista kicked my drink out in no time as well. I'll be back.
