The Tamp and Tap is a half block away from the Peabody Hotel. I came for a morning coffee. I had the Açaí Bowl which was good. I had the Delta Eagle coffee drink with oat milk. It was fantastic!! It was dark chocolate with raspberry. Perfect combination on an unusually cold morning. The staff was very nice. Great spot!!

Coffee is good, and the food is bad. Period. The coffee is actually good. I tried a cup of hot mocha latte and it was great. However, I ordered an avocado toast too ( with fried eggs and bacons on top). That was terrible. To my surprise they served two pieces of breads. However, the avocado spread was not good, I doubt if that’s made fresh! The fried eggs and bacons were greasy. As a whole it was not good. However, the coffee was great. The cafe looks cool, with many tables and couches. There’s a paid parking just beside the cafe. So you don’t have to worry about the parking. The have beers too on tap, however, I haven’t tasted. I will probably go back to drink more coffee at this place.

Food, coffee and ambiance was good. I debated between leaving 3 or 4 stars. I ordered the Santa Fe Burrito and asked for avocado which was $1 extra. I got about halfway through the burrito and had not seen any avocado. I went up to ask about it and the cook had a bit of an attitude. She said, “it’s there”. Then I was asked if I had opened the burrito because it could be at the bottom of the burrito. Sure enough, I had maybe a tablespoon worth of avocado spread in the last bite. Overall the burrito tasted good. Did not appreciate paying a $1 for barely any avocado and getting an attitude about it. I also had the hummingbird coffee which was also delicious. A bit on the sweet side so maybe ask for less honey if you want something less sweet

Good find in Memphis for coffee early in the day. The coffee is good but I have to say I would skip the avocado toast with eggs and bacon next time. It tasted fine but was not worth the price I paid for it

A nice quiet place to get some work done while having breakfast. From the name, I thought it was a beer pub but it's not. Burrito was very very good so I'll definitely be back to try other things.

I came into this location as I was passing through the area and I’m not sure what the issue must have been with the baristo that I approached to ask questions. He was extremely rude and condescending toward me as I attempted to ask about the vegan options and alternatives, to which he knew nothing about. He shrugged when I asked him about the vegan options and ignored my attempt to decipher their menu on my own by walking way from the counter. I refused to purchase coffee because I knew he’d be the one tampering with it. Although the vegan breakfast burrito I sampled was absolutely delicious I couldn’t not offer this location any more than 2 stars due to the ill-mannered service I received. I do hope they replace the man I spoke to with someone more genuine, cheerful and attentively knowledgeable. I was facetiously condescending while accosting him and as I finalized my purchase I expressed how unprofessional it was for him not to know the items or foods sold at a location where he worked. You’d think the menu and options would be common barista knowledge, at least that’s what I would presume since I’ve worked in the service industry myself, in the past.

Tried the tennessean, tasted good but it was way too sweet for me. They have a fun gaming area in the shop with old Nintendo classics which was cool to see.

Im not a coffee drinker so maybe thats the problem but my friend and I came here expecting decent breakfast and it was, simply put, pretty horrible and overpriced. I ordered avocado toast with eggs and it was immediately clear that not only was everything on the plate pre frozen (including the avocado!) but it was bland and the texture tough. My friend had a similar experience. All the baked good are frozen and shipped in also, I asked.

One of my favorite places to grab a quick bite and work outside of the office. Their sandwich and a cold Tennessean are my go too!

Was one of the best breakfast places I’ve been to, has great coffee and the food is to die for. Also they move through the lines pretty quick we had a group of six and got our food very fast. 10/10 am definitely going if I ever come back to visit Memphis.
