Espresso shooters are a good idea, in concept.
The "Presley" shooter I got was a bit of a letdown. The "banana" was just a garnish to a mix of 2 parts coffee and 3 parts cream. I expected a banana-flavored coffee, at the very least, but in the end just got tan cream. (With a bit of banana to enjoy on top!) The El Guapo Avocado toast, to me at least, tasted very weird. The Vietnamese Sriracha and Greek Feta makes the Mexican toast thing less of a globetrotting experience and more an unsavoury one. It tastes good with some Louisiana sauce on it, though. (A bit like a Fuzzy's taco, if you know what that is.)
The location is very nice, with old game consoles, board games, and an overall nice, casual, urban feel. I didn't try any of the "real" drinks, so I can't speak to the merits of those, however I will say that this is a nice place to stretch your legs after a long day of walking in Memphis. Maybe just don't do shots.

Pleasant atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon. John Wayne espresso shooter and a danish were both a couple of cuts above chain places. Will probably return once more on this conference trip.

Delicious coffee, food that never disappoints, and a very chill atmosphere. I got the John Wayne coffee and a chicken burrito and it was fantastic. My order came out in only 5 minutes

Who knew the food would be so tasty? Simple but delicious breakfast options. The coffee is amazing. It's definitely a vibe.

The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly. The food was flavorful! It was simple but flavorful! We got "the Stanley" and an "American burrito". Excellent paired with their coffee. The coffee was prominent tasting yet not overpowering. Alot of fun mixes.

Cool and eclectic coffee shop. Service is good too. They expanded their menu i think cause there were a lot of options for breakfast and lunch. I had avocado toast. It was good and im not a huge avacado toast person. Great meeting spot downtown.

Cool eclectic cafe if you are looking for somewhere other than starbucks. I had a good avocado toast with egg and bacon (they could have toasted the bread better). Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. This is a great atmosphere to work from your laptop unless you are distracted easily (customers voices do carry).

We were enticed to come to Tamp & Tap by another websites promise of a Saturday bluegrass brunch which, sadly, the coffeehouse had phased out. Van Halen on the speakers greeted us instead.
Tamp & Tap is a full on coffee house with pour overs, drips, espresso drinks, cold brew on tap and a very nice tea menu – all loose leaf. And the staff was super friendly!
I had an Egg, cheddar and English muffin made with Egg whites. Not the best breakfast I ended up having in Memphis for sure. The sandwich was a bit over-toasted…in particular the cheese was over-cooked to the point where you couldn’t really taste it. It was basic and fine. (And made to order in house.)
My wife had the Veggie Frittata without the fontina cheese (she eats mostly vegan. It was impressive looking and served with healthy looking greens. It was served upside down with a thin layer of veggies on the top (err, or bottom.) She enjoyed the vegetable layer and found it to be a generous size (and a generous portion of greens on the side.)
The pour over coffee was bold and perfect. Exactly what I want out of coffee…not acidic, as strong as I wanted it to be. Hurrah coffee!
My wife really enjoyed the peach oolong tea. Kudos to places that serve loose leaf tea!
The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, and we found it to be a generally good and quick alternative to crowded or expensive brunches elsewhere.
We also saw a display with good looking pastries, apples and bananas available.
And though we didn’t take advantage of it, the “Tap” side of Tamp & Tap” looked to have a good selection of Local Beer (on tap) and bloody Mary’s too.
For a drink or coffee, Tamp & Tap seems like a good place to go…even for a quick bite or snack. If you’re looking for a more upscale or unique brunch or meal, it might not be what you’re looking for.

The food portions were not as large as expected for the price and were only passable flavor-wise. However very much enjoyed the beverages, a Matcha green tea latte and a Cannonball (espresso chai latte).
