Not a great experience. Coffee was meh and the people working there seemed disinterested and rude though no one was in there.

Great coffee, delicious pastries, and adorable gift shop. Such a local gem! The shop is always clean and every is always so kind and positive. Parking next to their sign always gets me excited for a good start to the day at City & State.

Not only is the coffee phenomenal and everything coffee should be, they have unique seasonal drinks! I love the atmosphere and it’s always clean and friendly staff. The kiosk allows for tipping the baristas which is good for them and you can opt to get no receipt to help the environment. They also recycle! And don’t forget the dog friendly patio!!!!

If it was possible to give zero stars I probably would. While there is a decent aesthetic to the place and I love the Broad Ave area, I will not be visiting this establishment in the future.
The employees both in the coffee and shop areas are very dismissive. I've given the place several tries now, and I always feel as though I am inconveniencing the staff by placing a simple coffee order.
The offerings from the coffee shop are below average and quite limited, so the overall poor attitude of the employees just pushes the experience right over the edge.
Will not be returning, and will not recommend to friends or visitors.

Such friendly baristas, great service, and amazing hummingbird lattes. Will definitely be back!

Always fun and interesting drink combinations here. I really liked the guava sparking juice drink, it was perfectly sweet and tart!

City and state always impresses me with their creativity, service, and stock curation. I love that they support handcrafting artists and are frequently offering new seasonal drinks and menu items. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is a great place to meet with a friend, sit and read, or work on a project.

The coffee is great and the shop is beyond cute!! I love being able to sit here and work on my computer while enjoying some good coffee. And once I'm sick of staring at my screen, I can shop around the store on the other side of the wall. I always love visiting
