Traveling home and did a quick Google search at the right time as we were approaching Manchester, TN. We stopped for lunch at The Merchantile Cafe / Sweet Simplicity Bakery. Thie food would be considered Southern food. My wife and I had salmon patties - Good! Between the two of us we also had fried squash, cream corn, green beans, collards, and cornbread. All of this was good. I got banana pudding for a desert. It was REALLY HOMEMADE and DELICIOUS! Besides my banana pudding; this was the best I've ever had at a restaurant . They had several deserts to choose from; all homemade. Then on the way out there is a counter with more sweet foods to choose from - yep we left we more!

Small town meat n three (or meat n two) plus many other choices. Great food, congenial & friendly atmosphere, small gift shop area, and right on town square. Was my second time to go there. Love it!

Excellent home cooking. Limited menus but everything is very good. Deserts as served are really enough for two. (Order one desert and two plates or just pig out!)

Everything I tried here was excellent. Like eating at Grandma's house in the country. Chicken and dumplings, green beans and cream corn. Cornbread. Wife had taco salad and she said it was really good.

Absolutely Amazing place. The food is outstanding as is the Staff. It has that warm casual at home kinda feeling while enjoying a good meal.
