Nice place. Good food. Cool little mercantile store. Visit downtown Manchester.

They have a very good meat and three lunch. I highly recommend.

Wait! I thought I left a review. Last Thanksgiving I ordered the whole Thanksgiving “experience” from Mercantile cafe. I really did think I left a review because I was talking to my girlfriend about Thanksgiving and doing it again this year. The turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes were AMAZING. Mercantile cafe is a gem.

Would highly recommend ! A special place off the beaten path. Just passing through on our way to St.Louis. It was a first time visit for my husband and I to @themercantile/Sweetsimplicity Manchester,TN but certainly won’t be our last!
We had a wonderful dinner with great down home cooking and comfort food. My husband had the chicken and waffles that were juicy and tender and I had the beef pot pie that was absolutely delicious. Portions were plenty and the prices were a bargain. Be sure to save room for dessert as there were many choose from. Their pie was to was to die for. Chess pie is a must try!

It was 4:15, they said the rush started at 5. Food that was served off line wasn't hot.

If you're in the area you must go. All food made from scratch. And you can tell! Felt like going home for REAL southern food.
