Ugly Mug Coffee, Malone's Coffee Service, LLC

I stopped by to grab a frozen coffee, and to sit and read in their seating area. This is my first time here, and I'll definitely be back. The folks are so friendly, the coffee is good, and I love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend. They also have a drive-thru.

Cindy and I headed into Lenoir City, the old part of the city and decided to find something small to try. We settled on The Ugly Mug. A quaint little coffee and snack shop towards the river. It was cute as a button, with a drive thru but we went in and had a seat. Ordered a Ham and Cheese and Cindy got some sort of breakfast sandwich, her normal gross super strong coffee and I had a cookie doodle I think, it was awesome. The sandwich was heavy on the meat and cheese with spiced mustard on a very heavy bun that made for a great filling lunch. The girls that were working were young and very good at getting it out hot and fast, impressive.

I love this place! It's a good thing I live about an hour away or I'd be here every day. Their chicken pesto sandwich is amazing and I love to pair it with the cheese danish. Very nice people and great food!

This was the 2nd weekend on mine and the hubby's coffee tour and he chose The Ugly Mug. I had never heard of it but he drives by it on his way to work everyday. First off, I want to start off by saying I think it is the most clever name for a coffee shop! When he said the name I immediately cracked up laughing. After checking out the menu and reading the reviews, this one jumped to the top of our list as the next one to try and we were NOT disappointed!! They had an amazing selection of coffee's and breakfast items as well as lunch!

I opted for the hot Sea Salt Caramel latte and the buttermoon pound cake. The hubby decided to try the hot Full Moon latte and lemon blueberry biscuit. Of course, we also had to get 4 of the homemade brownies. One for him, one for me and the other two for the kiddos, of course. 😊 (Seriously, they were for the kiddos. 😊)

We got our order to go, unlike last week, only because the atmosphere wasn't as comfortable and inviting. It was standard tables and chairs. No comfy couches or chairs but they did have tables outside as well. We were, however, pleasantly surprised when we got to the car and found our pastries had been warmed up for us! Not expecting that at all!! We both very much enjoyed the pastries as well as the lattes. Definitely recommend this little place as well. 😋☕ (Please excuse the sloppy pic of our drinks & food. It was difficult to take in the car. 😕)

Everything about this place is amazing. We are Semi drivers and will definitely be back when we come back through. Highly recommend

Everything looks incredibly delicious! I live about 2 miles from Ugly Mug ☕ and have never been. (Shameful.. I know, right!) But I had No idea.. they had such an extensive menu! Also, everything looks homemade & very fresh! Unlike the overly hyped, over priced Coffee giant chain.. "$even-buck$" as I call it.. who mostly have just frozen danishes, thaw & serve, & microwave sandwiches. No thanks. I will include an update to my review this week when I visit Ugly Mug .. but for now, I've put 5 stars because I'm impressed with the menu (to be a coffee shop) & the appearance of the food & beverages. Oh! Also, a great range & variety of coffee's, hot & cold & specialty drinks! I have a great feeling about this place &bum pretty sure I haven't over inflated my opinion of it because I'm hungry. First time trying this place and I'm highly satisfied! Homemade blueberry muffin has delicious and coffee is excellent! Love the name and esthetic! I just wish there was more/better parking.

Great service! Very little seating. I was actually going to dine in but someone took the last seat as I was waiting on one to order. The coffee drink I ordered was so sweet I couldn't drink it but I understand that is personal preference. The Flatbread pizza was not good. Seemed microwaved and very little flavor. I would return to buy the prepackaged coffee though since it is made in TN.

STAY AWAY. Ordered a sausage and cheese croissant (no egg) and a simple coffee with splash of whole milk.

What did I get? Sausage and egg (no cheese) and I didn’t even get my coffee. Owner/manager sees us—we are the only ones in there— and asks if we are waiting on a coffee. Turns out they made it, just left it sitting next to their coffee machine behind the counter. So we get up to leave bc wife was already finished at this point, manager asked if I wanted my sandwich remade. I politely declined. Never offered me my coffee!!!

I didn’t even want a refund at this point bc they would probably eff that up too!

UPDATE: Customer no longer allowed to be disappointed in not receiving what they paid for. Also not allowed to be heard as the only patrons in a small place (per the business’ response to my initial review)

It wasn't my best white chocolate mocha but it was really good. The atmosphere was awesome and I really enjoyed my visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again.
