Best Matcha I’ve ever had. I’m visiting Knoxville for the week and decided to pick up a drink here! The employees were friendly to talk to, welcoming, and quick with service! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

The house Mocha Latte is SO GOOD! the coffee is fresh and delicious. The space is clean, adorable and cozy. Easy to socially distance. The cashier I interacted with was helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning!

Fantastic place. The fire pit is inviting, the interior decor is homey and unlike any cafe or coffee shop I have ever been to, and the owner/staff team just simply make you feel comfortable and at home. No gimmicks, no b.s, just great tasting, good-quality coffee and mouth-watering baked goods served with caring service.

Today was my first time stopping by at the Golden Roast Marble City and I have to say...I think I’ve found a hidden gem! I wasn’t aware that there was a coffee shop on Sutherland so it was a pleasant surprise. The Kookaburra iced coffee was SO yummy and I normally don’t like iced coffee drinks so that says a lot!
It’s a cozy spot and the perfect place to get a refreshing drink after a long and hot day like today!

The Golden Roast is a really cool spot located in an old church, which makes for a unique and flavorful vibe. I got the nitro cold brew, it was delicious. Also, the barista was very kind and chill. 5 sinks!

Sutherland Avenue is Knoxville's funkiest district and locally owned shops like the Golden Roast are what make it such a great place to spend time. I love sitting on their patio, sipping a coffee, and watching the world go by. I love this place!

Love this local coffee shop. Great coffee, great food, great vibe. They have beautiful outdoor seating and it’s cozy inside. We’ve already recommended this place to all of our friends. The Kookaburra coffee and the Egg Bagel are both amazing!

The Golden Roast is one of the oldest, if not the oldest coffee shop in Knoxville. This is their newest location. There's Sutherland Avenue shop is in the refurbished basement of a former United Methodist Church built in the 1930s. The shop serves a range of regular coffee roasts, specialty coffees, tea, lattes, pastries. Good atmosphere for studying or meeting folks. Outdoor patio and a small parking lot.

Not for serious coffee folks. The shop itself is cute and cozy. We got a decaf oat milk cortado and one of their specials and they were awful. Weak (very odd for a cortado) and strangely sour oatmilk. We got them to go and later called the shop from the road because we were really concerned they were selling soured oatmilk, to which they explained that no, that was the taste of the oatmilk…they couldn’t buy their usual.
