Very nice coffee shop. Came here on a Sunday morning to get a few cups of coffee and some beans to make at home. I'm not usually a coffee shop person, but the staff was very friendly with making recommendations. I ended up getting a hot chocolate with a shot of espresso and some flavoring. It was fantastic. They even gave my 2 year old daughter an empty cup of her own to play with.

The atmosphere is very nice inside with light music playing and comfortable seating. Outdoor seating wasn't much of an option because it was very cold, but it looked like a nice outdoor space as well. They sell their own roasted coffee beans here as well to take home. They also have a selection of apparel and assorted other items you can purchase.

This coffee shop is cute! Very difficult for the first time to find where to park. There is also not a lot of parking spaces. The breakfast sandwich is very good. The coffee is good but very sweet. The staff was supper nice. This coffee shop also supports local artist in the area which is super fantastic.

Ah! First time here, and asked for a recommendation. They recommended macadamia nut latte.....to die for! Very relaxing atmosphere, I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

This review is specifically for the new location inside Cherokee Mills. I have no complaints about the location that was farther down Sutherland, nor the location on UT's campus: they both had a great atmosphere, great employees, and great coffee/food.

My complaint is with the new location. I have visited the Cherokee Mills location twice (wanted to give them a second chance). Both times, employees were standoffish and not helpful. There is no menu posted (only a couple seasonal specials) so you have to pull it up from a QR code. There was nothing in store showing what food options or coffee syrup flavors they offered. When I asked, the employees seemed bothered to answer.

On my first visit, I ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese To-Go. I was given one tiny pre-packaged cream cheese that was probably enough for 1/4 of a bagel. When I asked for extra, they said they didn't have any more. Also, the bagel was barely toasted, so by the time I got to work (a block away), it was cold and stale.

The saving grace is that the coffee I ordered both times was fantastic. So they've got that going for them. I really just hope they work on their customer service at this location, because it was not up to par.

I visited this adorable coffee shop today because I read it is the oldest coffee shop on Knoxville! The building has been updated to fit the farmhouse style and it is cute! I ordered a London Fog with Oat Milk. It was almost $5 for the small which I thought was a bit steep, however, the atmosphere made the cost worth it.i highly recommend seeing The Golden Roast!

Went there a couple months ago. Sampled their coffee and it was so good that I bought a bag. Super nice baristas. Planning to stop by on my way in and out of Knoxville the next time I travel.

Love this place. I miss the coziness of their old Sutherland location, but the the Cherokee Mills spot is getting there! The baristas are all nice and make good coffee!

Stopped by the Golden Roast about a week ago for some post-camping coffee.

Great service and great Americano! 😁☕️ They even brought out a little water cup and "pup-cup" for our little four legged companion!

I've been enjoying the Costa Rica single origin at home ever since! Phenomenal coffee!

The coffee and breakfast sandwich we got were phenomenal! I loved the atmosphere as well. The friendliness of the staff could have been better, as I felt like I was bothering them by being there. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back for the coffee and atmosphere.

This is going to be a really nice spot in the neighborhood no matter the season - the fire pit is pretty awesome (inside is nice too of course). WiFi was a little spotty the day I was there - will check in again soon - otherwise, a similar Roast experience now on Sutherland :)
