Got a kitchen sink salad and the club salad and the lettuce was gross. Wilted and dead with black and yellow spots. Dirty Chai Teas were great! Their ranch is delicious! There wasn’t a lot of flavor to their Micahs Smash. Tomato bisque tasted like Campbell’s. I’d say go for the coffee!! 👍🏻

My father-in-law loved their Cuban sandwich! The wait is a little long but they make everything from scratch. The girls could be a little more friendly but they were ok.

Fantastic food. I love the little muffins!!! Seating isn't great, especially if you get stuck in the back hallway near the bathrooms. Service is a little slow sometimes, but the food is definitely worth it.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Can take a little bit but worth it. The Reuben is great. Service is pretty slow but they have signs stating that it may take some time as everything is made fresh. I recommend it, but not if you are in a rush.

Great atmosphere. The waitress knew the menu and ingredients very well so it wasn't a hassle to comply with my allergy. Good price, great food.

We recently had a small gathering here, with catering, soft drinks and cupcakes provided by The Mustard Seed Cafe. We had a wonderful time; the food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient, the Cafe is attractive, well kept and clean. We will be back!!

This is by far my favorite lunch place in Kingsport, but after today I can unfortunately no longer support this business. While eating on 9/22/2020 I was glad to see the tables had been spaced out, waitresses wearing face masks, and extra sanitization protocols in the bathrooms. Shortly after we were seated the owner approached our table wearing no mask speaking close to our faces at the table. While annoyed I decided to keep my mask on when he approached and enjoy my meal. After the meal while leaving I looked into the kitchen and could clearly see 3 people prepping food with no mask. In Sullivan county we are in a mask mandate through the end of September, the least a business can do to keep its customers safe is abide by the guidelines put in place for its heath department. Not only were the food preps and owners not wearing masks, but they had also not put up the required signage indicating the mask mandate in Sullivan county or that patrons should be following the mandate except when eating. At the end of the day we are in a pandemic, and although many don’t like to wear a mask it is what is being asked of us to keep each other safe. I cannot support a business that doesn’t value its customers safety over its own comfort.
While very disappointed that I will have to find a new go to lunch spot in Kingsport, I hope that the Mustard Seed Cafe will take the proper steps to follow the mandate and not endanger its customers.

I was in this restaurant last week the food was good that is the only thing I can say because I felt sorry for the staff they work hard despite the owner an the way he treats them he was talking down to them an pushing them around like some bully he yelled at some of them. It made for a bad experience the atmosphere wasn't pleasant because the way these people are treated he treats them like slave laborers. He needs to learn how to treat people if your going to own a place of business. I for one will not be back I thank most would agree with me I'm not given someone like that my money. Very very unpleasant.
