Cheffie's Cafe

We went to Cheffie's in Collierville today for the first time in a while. We used to go a lot. What a change! The staff was not attentive. Had to tell them what kind of soup 3 times after they had repeated it to me on the first request. My wife asked for a Kyoto salad. When the woman started making it my wife pointed out it was the wrong salad. The response was a confrontational "You ordered the Santa Fe." I had heard. She did not. Then items were left off despite her using a recipe card. My wife looked up from speaking to a grandchild and was immediately accused of staring at the employee. Then the cashier slammed cups down on the counter. It came across as purposeful and not accidental. The one guy working seemed to be the only helpful employee. There needs to be an attitude check. Maybe it will get better but we will never know because we do not plan to go back.

I wanted to love it. But three average size sandwiches (like you might make at home) and one potato salad cost over $30. I brought it home to feed my family and it wasn't nearly enough food. Not only that, but these custom built sandwiches didn't have all the ingredients requested and were skimpy on the meat and veggies. I honestly felt ripped off. For what I spent, I could have gone to Lennie's and had enough food (including sides) to satisfy everyone. I haven't been back since. I have friends that swear the hummus is amazing...and I saw a co-worker eating a salad that was actually generously sized. But I haven't been able to get over my disappointment enough to give them a second chance.

I really want to be able to give it a higher rating having been to the Midtown Memphis location and loved it. But my romaine and Michael was limp and they didn't Chop It is Well is the other locations chop their salads. The other ingredients and the dressing we're still very good. Always love their pita crackers and hummus. A very nice location.

I feel like this place could be excellent, but the people who work there don't really care either way.

I've only gone twice and both times I felt like I was a bother to the girl cashing me out. I have been ignored just waiting for someone to acknowledge me while my food goes cold, or I have been rushed when I wanted to order something else.

It's sad because I was excited to find a place like this so close to my work.

I doubt I will go back, while the food is good. The prices are high and the staff uncaring. Not worth it in my book.

Cool place with lots of options other than salads. Great staff and super clean. Will be going back!

Caught a quick bite to eat with friends before the Collierville Hot Air Balloon festival. Great atmosphere and food was good, too.

Love this place, the salad was great and they are not afraid to load you up on toppings. Get it chopped and mixed. Gotta try the soup next time. Coffee was well worth it as well. Just a word of caution though, if you tell them you want dark roast coffee, they will give you some dark roast coffee!

Beautiful clean and bright. It's the perfect spot for lunch or a light dinner during the week. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They have great suggestions about ingredients and dressing pairings. Very good!

The other location in High Point is a 5 star salad restaurant. Every time I've visited this location I've been disappointed and wanted to just eat at the original place. My husband and I order the same salad as we do at the Memphis location and it is never as good. I don't know if they put a preservative on their lettuce or don't have the same quality toppings and dressings but we hang our heads when friends and family ask us to meet at the Collierville location for lunch.
