Madeleine - French Bakery

Everything was really good but the macaroons weren’t what I was expecting, they were so small and had so many air holes. There was no sweetness and the flavor was lacking in most of them. I was looking forward to getting a bundle deal but they don’t do that anymore I guess. The tiramisu was good tho, and atmosphere is beautiful.

Came wanting the pot pie which was no longer on the menu so I settled for the Reuben sandwich. I have tried at least 15+ different restaurants Reuben sandwiches. This was the worst one I’ve had…recommend thinner bread like maybe a rye bread…real Reuben meat (not deli slices), more meat, grilled rather than cold, and add a slice of Swiss cheese etc)…also I got the side salad (you could tell the croutons were old bc of the horrible aftertaste)…my wife got the Greek crepe (unimpressed…recommend using real meat like the other and chopping the onion etc smaller…overall felt this place could put more effort into the quality…maybe the deserts were better which we didn’t try)

I love it! I've been waiting a long time for a Fabulous French Bakery. Delicious pastries you can't find elsewhere in town. Great espresso and I truly enjoyed the Croque Madame. Warm and inviting, comfort food. Bring all your friends.

I took a friend there today for lunch. We tried a bunch of different treats from the pastry case as well as a savory lunch. Everything we tried was delicious, but the shining star for me was the homemade tomato soup. On a windy chilly day, it couldn't have been more perfect.

The pastries are almost too beautiful to eat! We adore this quant, French bakery. We recently attended their monthly 5-course French dinner. It was so delicious and amazing. It was an incredible experience and we will definitely return for next month's dinner.

My wife tells me I need to stop eating here because of the costs, but you pay for what you get. The food is amazing. However, two drawbacks that kept me from giving five stars:

1. Coke machine never has any ice. This should be on a check list for opening the shop. I'm always having to wait for ice. Not a big deal, but can be annoying at times.

2. Need one additional person working the counter. The young lady today was getting frustrated because she was trying to fill orders and take new orders at the same time. I recommended this place to a friend of mine, who is a business owner. He tried, but he said that he walked out, both times, before ordering. He said it just took too long to get service.

I would recommend eating at Madeleines. It is really good food.

Traveling through Clarksville on vacation and we stopped in for breakfast today. The breakfast sandwiches were excellent, I don't think I've had a tastier croissant and the eggs were so fluffy. The coffee and macchiato, hands down better than our normal go to (Starbucks) and let me tell you about the strawberry creme brulee tart.... I'm still thinking about that first bite and taste. They really have that LOVE at first bite locked down. The owner introduced himself and made us feel so welcome. I left envying the locals here as they get to enjoy such a wonderful place, we will be stopping by again on our way home when we wrap up our road trip vacation!

Ordered two coffees and it took about 25 minutes. Was completely forgot about. Service was friendly and the workers tried their best. However it is very apparent that management is poor with ineffective systems in place to serve people. Overall, I really enjoy this location but until management resolves systematic issues I am very disappointed.

Love it! Phenomenal Reuben sandwich and ratatouille. Excellent pastry selection and the bakes are proper. Recommend the spinach croissant for a savory option. The workers there are really cool and chill. Definitely making this place a regular stop.
