The Side Deck - Gaming Café

Awesome card shop! Everyone was super friendly and they have a huge selection. If you collect or play any kind of board or card game, this is the place to go! Shout out to Joe for helping me while browsing cards and being really fair with pricing! Will definitely be back!

I've been coming to The Side Deck ever since they've opened and have never felt a need to write a review until now.

Without going into too much detail, I want to express the deepest of gratitudes towards the staff mainly Raymond and Kevin for helping me out to an extent many other shops would not.

I heart this store and the people that solidify this card store as being the best in South Carolina.

They also have really great coffee too.

The folks at side deck are amazing!! Always very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable in all things card related! We come here to buy and sell Pokemon cards quite often and they don't low-ball you when you bring cards to sell!

The side deck is awesome. Started with a perfect espresso on ice then to the demo table with Tess, who walked us through the game that we ended up buying. Lots of happy people, gamers and employees. I wish I had one closer to where I live.

I enjoy visiting the Side Deck. It has a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of friendly staff. When I was there recently, I got a drink at the coffee bar and played a card game that Tess was demonstrating. I had never heard of the game, but had so much fun that I had to get a copy!

I really love this place I pop in and get a coffee all the time. The Frozen coffees are very delightful and reasonably priced. You know I wouldn't have thought going to a gaming Lounge would have been where I would have found my favorite place to have coffee but just look at how things work out I hope everybody else enjoys this hidden g e m

I cannot say enough great things about this gaming cafe. The staff is so amazing and so helpful / knowledgeable. They are kind to the kids and genuinely care. Bobby has been so nice since the first time we walked through the door. My son cannot stop talking about Pokémon and The Side Deck. If you are looking for coffee, Kevin made an excellent Americano yesterday, and was also extremely kind to my son giving him advice and a pep talk. Great place!

Great to go out to Yu-Gi-Oh events hosted by The Side Deck! Every time I go to one all the staff are nice and polite and I have to give a special thank you to one of the employees, Tess, for helping me out massively while I was at a YCS hosted by The Side Deck! She was incredibly kind and helpful and made my experience there so much better! 5 stars!

The coffee we got was really good and was priced as you would expect from a smaller local shop.

Their selection of cards was pretty good and searching for them was a seamless process. Competitive and fair prices on cards.

I was here for a yugioh tournament and a large, angry man expressly threatened to punch me in my face multiple times because he believed I disrespected him. When I told staff about it, they merely gave him a verbal warning. He should have been thrown out. When I later called the store, expressing I wished they would have thrown him out, they told me they would call me back after the person who handles that type of thing gets back in town. They never did, even after I called back again to ask.

The store's response was utterly and completely unacceptable.
