Watusi Cafe

We are visiting for the weekend and just kind of closed our eyes and picked this because it was close to her hotel. Omg, we had the most fantastic breakfast. Creative and excellent menu. I had the Eggs Benedict and they were phenomenal. Also shout out to Tyler, our server, who was perfect. Will be back!

A definite must try. I am not a big fan of eating out at breakfast but this was well worth it. Everything my family tried was excellent. The staff was awesome. The atmosphere was so relaxing. This was a perfect ending to a great vacation at Hilton head.

This place was wonderful. Service was great, food even better. My wife had Potato eggs Benedict and I had traditional Benedict and Biscuits & gravy. The biscuits were to die for very soft and the gravy was very good. And both Benedict’s were amazing. Wish there were more than 5 stars!

Delicious!! This cafe was so cute, indoot and outdoor seating, I also loved that they had a breakfast counter you could eat at! Their coffee beverages were very tasty and so was their breakfast!

Giving this place 2 stars because the food was amazing once it got there. However, the service is some of the worst I have had in a long time. Not only did it take long, but the waitress was not polite or attentive. In addition, the food took a very long time, especially for a restaurant that wasn't very busy at the time.

Pimento cheese was some of the best I have ever had.

This place is great, we've been on HHI for two days and eaten there twice! There are 4 of us and we each enjoyed our breakfast and lunch meals, I think that everything they serve they make well. I had the veggie sandwich for lunch and the biscuits and gravey for breakfast, both were excellent. Both of our servers were very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere.

First our waiter was great. Very friendly and checked on us often. The atmosphere is pleasant and beautiful little Cafe and seating outside and inside. The presentation and appearance of everything is good. BUT.... This was by far the most under seasoned, unflavored food that I have honestly ever tasted. We come to hilton head every other year and this was our first time eating here. I ordered the omelet with chicken sausage, onions, peppers and cheese. It came with hash and multigrain toast. We also ordered a plate of French toast. My husband ordered hash browns with mushrooms and cheese, eggs your way and toast. My water was very cloudy (could have been the cup )but I don't think so. This is on the higher price end for Breakfast and just was not good. I love food and flavor and taste and I literally had to put 20 shakes of salt 20 shakes of pepper before I even could get the food down. Had to add hot sauce (I don't even care to use hot sauce) to get some flavor. French toast tasted like eggs and bread. No cinnamon or buttery flavor. Not looking for "salty" food but this food tasted like everything was opened and just cooked. It was hot though and didn't take too long to come out.
We eat at Relish Cafe every visit and wanted to give a different place a chance. If you have had Relish before, you would be able to tell the difference. Maybe more suited for those that eat with your eyes and not for taste. Good customer service and relaxing feel.

Good, not great. Everything was generally good but overall not amazing compared to other breakfast restaurants or the reviews here. Also, $2.25 for a side of maple syrup and no refills on apple juice seem excessive when the amounts provided were relatively small.

Such a cute place for brunch with nice surroundings. The staff was friendly and catered to our needs. The coffee was fresh brewed and piping hot! Our server Justine was AMAZING and super attentive! We ordered the omelet special and the blackened shrimp hash. The omelet was tasty but just a typical omelet. The blackened shrimp hash was flavorful and good however, the chunks of peppers was off putting (personal preference). Highly recommend 🙂
