Watusi Cafe

Amazing iced coffees. We shared the blackened shrimp hash and the crab eggs Benedict. Every bite tasted amazing. Perfect combination of veggies, Hollandaise sauce, egg, and bread/hash brown. The peppers were so fresh and sweet. The shrimp was blackened to perfection. Thanks, Sarah for a wonderful experience.

I loved being able to bike to breakfast and the Eggs Benedict over hash browns and breakfast burrito my husband and I had were both absolutely amazing! We’ll definitely return to try other menu items—the Reuben sandwich caught both our eyes and we look forward to our next trip to Watusi Cafe!

Watusi is a great little restaurant/cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating in Hilton Head. The location isn't amazing, but the lovely outdoor patio surrounded by plants and trees makes up for it. Food was very good, as was the service. The homemade pancakes with fresh berries were delicious. The corned beef has was surprisingly light and had a refreshing twist with the fennel. Omelet was basic, but ok. They also have a bakery, but we did not try anything from there. They also serve matcha green tea which is a nice addition to a brunch menu. The only critique, other than the so-so omelet, was that they serve fake maple syrup with their breakfast items. You have to pay $2.50 more for real maple syrup. For a place that seems to pride itself on good, fresh ingredients, that is a no-no.

Every time we go to Hilton Head, we visit Watusi. As incredible as it sounds, they keep getting better and better.

This time I had a shrimp salad on spinach with strawberries, goat cheese and candied nuts. It was so good, and the service was so outstanding, I had to share my experience with the world.

Watusi has expanded in size. But they did it while actually improving everything else. This place is a must go-to for everyone.

I was very impressed with the service and food at this restaurant. Having a good all gluten free food at a restaurant can be difficult while traveling. They took very good care of me and no problems eating here.

Stopped for breakfast after walking the beach by Coligny Plaza on Sunday morning. Asked and was seated at an outside table in the courtyard. Our server was kind, cheerful, and informative by letting us know the specials and favorites. Our order was for 2 eggs over easy with hash browns and toast and the Taco Trio with chorizo and hash browns. The hash browns were cooked to perfection with the outside crisped and the seasoning spot on. Eggs were also perfect and the tacos served in a soft corn tortilla were some of the best tasting I’ve had. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices. I’ll be sure to re-visit Watusi in the future.

Wonderful view. Wonderfully diverse food options. Even though a poached egg fell off my plate at service, the server was wonderful enough to get me another one promptly. Wonderful coffee options as well. Highly recommend

Friendly wait staff, clean tables and menus, family friendly. Food was awesome don't miss the 'coffee not coffee' section on back of the menu for some out of this world fresh smoothies. The nice thing is there is a coffee bar where you can order something while you wait then just chill on the patio until a table is ready. Will be back, great experience.

It was an okay experience. The food was neither really good or bad, just more bland than I was expecting. The service was a bit slow and unfortunately, it just wasn’t the best experience overall. Typically I would have said 3 stars, but I’m thinking it was just an off experience, based on the busyness and other reviews. Maybe we will return, but honestly not sure.

The vibes and atmosphere of this place were amazing! Seated very fast without reservation. The food and coffee were outstanding and you get a lot of food for little the price!! Would definitely come here again!
