Hands down the best European Cafe in the Peninsula. You must try any drink that involves the hot chocolate. I can't think of anywhere else you'd get such thick and rich cup of heaven (not even at Ghirardelli Square). The pastries are amazing. The atmosphere is classy and crisp. And unlike some of those "artisanal" cafes, the prices are normal. Absolutely will return every time I'm in PA downtown.

We went to this place with a friend. I tasted the hot chocolate. It was really nice and thick. My husband had two coffees. Would recommend it to any chocolate lover. The tiramisu and the bread looked great. My friends really enjoyed it

One of my favorite coffee/pastries places in Pali Alto. Open late, so if I want my espresso after 5 pm, I know where to go. Nice ambience, a lot of outdoor seating, and everything is very tasty. Do not skip panettone, you will fall in love with it forever! I also would recommend baguette sandwiches.

Great coffee and chocolates! The biscotti was good too.

I come here for the warm chocolate mousse, topped with whipped cream. Indulgent, but a small portion, so you don’t get overwhelmed or feel (too) guilty. Plenty of other espresso options, and a small pastry / food case, too. It used to have great indoor seating, now it’s more limited, but still has a good outdoor patio area.

Wifi would be amazing. Other than that, this is the best place for hot chocolate or mocha in the Bay Area. 10/10.

This WAS the very best coffee in the bay, went in today and got a luke warm, almost chilled latte when asking, and paying, for a double, clearly got a single shot… likely done here usually drive over from Redwood City… it seems customer service is non existent these days… I told them it was bad while they starred like I was from another planet… The delightful man that is usually there but not today! UGH!

I have loved my times at Cafe Venetia, since 2017 and over the years. Today was very disappointing, Luke warm latte, at best. Requested double shot but wasn’t quite like previous coffees. Hoping this is just an anomaly, looking for a more positive experience.

Limited options and no wifi. Not a place to drink coffee and do anything online.

Some selection of pastries and sandwiches, comfortable sitting area (more stools than chairs), was quite shocked by the prices, $15 for tea and cheesecake.

Hot choco mousse is perfection. Lovely staff, great ambiance, better than Burdicks because the Choco isn't overwhelming in flavor. Love the no computer area.

For me, the desserts were delicious and better than coffees. And the employees were exactly like happy, easy-going, fun Italian folks

No internet, seating isn't comfortable. Coffee is alright, almond croissant is good.

For someone who grew up in Southern Europe, this place feels like being back home. Deserts taste even better than they look and coffee is flawless. Whenever I was there staff was friendly with amazing attention to detail.

My experience in short: sarcastic and impolite language when taking my order, missing pieces from my order, serving cold tea, the pastry was not good at all, cups and silverware were a bit dirty, and it was too cold inside. I'll visit this place again in near future and will update my review if I had a better experience.
