Every Thursday, St Andrew's offers a free meal. Webster's provides vegan meals to give to our vegan clients. Not only do they give us the meals, they walk it up to the church! Their food is AMAZING! We are so grateful for their donations.

Great local cafe and bookstore! Smells like coffee and books the moment you walk in the door.
It's the only bookstore in State College that says gently used books at a great price, and if you donate books, you can get trade credit for more books!
The staff is really friendly and provide a relaxing atmosphere with vinyl records playing all the time. They also hold a lot of community events. It provides a place of belonging for all locals and students alike.
The cafe seems a little disorganised and sometimes the staff is preoccupied and there can be long wait times, but it's completely worth it to get a Brown Cow with Meyer Dairy chocolate milk and a bagel with Parmesan Peppercorn Cream Cheese!

We used Webster's catering for our wedding and they were amazing. They were super flexible and responsive throughout the whole process, and made an entire custom vegan menu. They even made specific special recipes that we asked for! They made our cake as well, including decorating it (it was gorgeous), and made a vegan cheesecake for our rehearsal dinner that was so good even the non-vegans thought it was better than the dairy cheesecake! We couldn't have been happier with the food, and they were so friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout. The price was also super low considering all the time and extras they put in! We would highly recommend Webster's catering to anyone who needs vegan food (or any food!) for a special event.

Really unique place in the best of ways. First, they've got great beverage options. Second, they've got excellent food choices - whether you want a snack or a full meal they've got it, and it's probably totally local and fresh. Third, the environment is really fun. This is one of the two best places in town to sit and get work done, or read. If you've never been to Webster's, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try.

Staff were extremely rude. EDIT: Apparently, commenting on poor service means you're an anti-masker? A week ago, I was ignored by staff when I tried to purchase a few books while getting coffee with a Penn State Philosophy Professor. I'm not sure if the poor service was due to staff overhearing our conversation regarding vaccine mandates or not, but regardless, not once was I unmasked (in fact, I was wearing two). Others who read the owner's response should take careful note of Webster's staff's horrendous and unhinged service. Go to Saints Cafe for coffee and order your books online.

Anytime I recommend a coffee shop, it's Webster's; a classic of State College. Everyone visiting town should take the time to check it out & grab a bite. Great food (vegan too), coffees, teas, & a huge selection of used books.

This shop was so cute and quaint. There's a lot of different things to shop for like different genres of books, records, vintage clothes, and a cute cafe. It's very bustling and a lot of people were there. Also a plus, all the bathrooms are gender neutral. The only downside was that things weren't very well organized.

As a non coffee lover, I regard its cappuccino as the best in town - not watery, well blended, without any uncomfortable bitterness caused by poor roasting. Plus, the staff is very polite and gentle. Love this place, even it is only a basement.

One of the first coffee shops I went to in State College and still my favorite. Go there, get a Brown Cow 🐄! Great place to find out about local events, and they even host a number of events themselves. It's also a bookstore (mostly used books), record shop, and usually has a small rotating art exhibit with works for sale by local artists. Overall, a relaxing place to study or catch up with friends.

We make it a point to frequent Webster's as often as possible. Great obscure book finds, cool music, groovy atmosphere!
