This bookstore has the best vibes! Nice selection of used books and some new local ones too. Chai tea made from scratch—not a concentrate! Great tunes!

Webster's is the perfect bookstore/cafe to visit for a unique selection of books. They have great food as well with gluten free options. Good vibes all around and great people!

When I lived in State College, Websters was one of my favorite places to go and meet up with friends, work on schoolwork, or read.
The space is split about half and half between the used bookstore and the cafe area. The selection of books varies depending on what's been traded in, but I've made a number of excellent finds over time. Their selection of vinyl records is also fairly broad. I even managed to find a first pressing of Monty Python's Matching Tie and Handkerchief once. (It's not a super-rare record, but it's not super common, either. And it's one of very few three-sided records...) There's also a good selection of local interest books, maps, guides, and other locally-made goods.
On the cafe side of things, I've never had anything off the menu I didn't enjoy. They have a broad selection of homemade baked goods (Elaine is a wonderful baker; her orange cookies with white chocolate chips and cranberries are a personal favorite), and their selection of teas and coffees includes a number of house blends, all equally delicious.
We have purchased bulk loose tea from Websters a number of times, too, and the prices are exceptional, especially given how good the tea is. I would recommend the Happy Valley Darjeeling or their Earl Grey (or their Lavender Earl Grey), personally.

Nice chill restaurant/cafe spot to read, do homework, or chat with friends. Lgbtq+ friendly, all dishes are either vegetarian or vegan, and clearly designated in store or on the online menu. Lots of drink options, and a $50 lifetime membership is available which includes reduced coffee prices and many discounts on books and such

Book price is cheap and, collection is large and diverse. However, it may be difficult to locate the desired book as i find the organization little messy. Tried the latte. It was good. The casual ambience of the place is a big plus. The staffs are also really friendly. If you are looking for reasonably priced books and enjoy a cup of coffee in mid of a literary environment this place is recommended.

A wonderful experience to discover this basement library treasure for Sunday Brunch. The whole concept is eclectic and a slice of heaven for budding artists, coffee clutch atmosphere, buffets and original menu items. Good prices for a college town during the summer season.
the only complaints I have is the staff seems to have trouble getting the specific order requests straight and they are not using best food practices when preparing food. Hair nets would be useful.

Cozy, welcoming, tasty, and dog-friendly! Bring your best friend in for a delicious Brown Cow Signature Drink and enjoy the atmosphere! Awesome venue for fun events, book-reading, and inclusive socializing. The staff here are all incredible people and they treat you like family. So many times I have left here feeling like a part of the community at Webster's. Make an effort to get to know someone at Webster's, some of the best people in my life I have stumbled upon at Webster's. Don't forget to enjoy a coffee!

Nice selection of books and vinyl when it's actually open once every leap year

Webster's is a real used bookstore with great little foods and coffee and run by kind people. Park at the Pugh St. garage around the corner. Webster's and the Pugh St garage both have restrooms. Really though..its all about the books.

The best place in State College.
This is the perfect little used bookstore slash coffee shop, with all the character and small town feel you could ask for. They have tons of fascinating books on topics you didn't even know existed, vinyl records, and a real coffee shop full of unique decor and interesting people.
