Oh my goodness 😸! First time visiting State College and first time visiting Webster's Bookstore and cafe (I'm an artist attending the CPFA) and I was so happy to find this hidden gem. It is a little hard to find, and the cafe is tucked in but it is so worth it.
The coffee was hot, fresh, and delicious! And the pastry I had was decadent.
Also the staff is super- friendly!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Neat place. Got some cool records. A lot of variation in pricing but I was able to get a couple good deals.

Great to stop by after 10 years and find staples still going strong. Atmosphere is still amazing and a great cup of coffee or tea.

Fun college town bookstore with great atmosphere. This is a fun place to study, have some coffee or a meal, and to hang with friends. Hope this store is around for years to come!

The last and best of it's kind: delicious cafe food, great teas, books on books galore and vinyl to feed your music hole. I've been going here for years and couldn't imagine this town without Webster's.

From out of town. Bookstores are in general so hard to find anymore and I miss them. This is a gem. I found two new John Grisham hard covers for $6/each. Lots of vinyls. If in state college should stop in

Had a good time other night, mingling and reading books while listening to live music.

I love this place! It’s so nice to walk around and see all the used books, some older with notes and highlighted sentences while others look brand new, flawless. My little ones also love going, as soon as they saw the Children’s little nook, they sat down and read books, played games (I also loved this because I could explore on my own but still easily see them.
There is a iced coffee drink called The Brown Cow which you can also get without the coffee in it for the kiddos!
Great place, great vibe!

It’s a super cozy bookstore/cafe. I love that I can buy used books locally for a good deal (oftentimes, they’re cheaper than the Kindle version and are similar in price to preowned books on eBay.)
Their tea is delicious! I don’t try anything on the menu, but it definitely caters to the plant based crowd. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of if you aren’t into that (though you might try something new and decide you like it!)
My only criticism is the floors need some love. It’s worn concrete and looks very dirty/unfinished and rundown. When I first came here, I thought the cafe was under construction because of it. I’d love to see them eventually add some very simple durable flooring. It would look soooo much better!
