Chew Chew Bun

My new favorite place to go! Customer service is amazing. Pastries & drinks are delicious! They seem to have a new menu everyday with some repeating items. We had the egg tart, taro bun, red bean bun, classic melon, & mung bean pastry in the span of two days. The location we went to was in downtown State College. They're really close by to Webster's & right next to Phryst. HIGHLY recommend! ❤️🙌👏

Delicious! We are SO lucky to have such an amazing bakery in downtown State College! The garlic bun is the garlic lover's dream! So good! Incredibly fresh! The coffee was amazing as well.

I think this is the best coffee shop we have - the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is as friendly as they come! The owner even came out and helped us make a decision on what we should order based on what we were craving.

I just cannot recommend this place highly enough! My only regret is not getting one of everything to go!

These buns are great! I was so happy that this type of product became available in State College. They bring back fond memories of the buns my mom brought home from Chinese supermarkets growing up - but the quality of these is higher. My favorites are the ones with milk butter and pork sung. Delivery is convenient and the customer service is great too.

amazingly delicious buns and incredibly nice staff, i always feel welcome. there hasn't been a single bad bun ive had from here and the matcha is delicious !!

Delicious desert that will make anyone's day! If you want to buy a sweet treat as a gift or a desert to treat yourself, this is a great option for State College, PA area. Try the Pinapple cake! Your taste buds will be dancing!

Delicious and cute little cafe! They provide a choice of pastries you won't be able to find anywhere else in State College! (When they have them) I recommend the melon bun and thin almond cookies! Both are absolutely delicious! ❤️❤️

Love that there is an in person bakery that I can visit to view all the baked goods! My absolute favorites at this moment are the egg tarts, melon buns, and nutella cheese buns (although all are delicious). Would suggest people try both a sweet and a savory bun.
I also had the opportunity to meet the primary baker and they are incredibly kind! It's always great to know that everything is made fresh and in house. The bakery also carries Rothrock coffee :) 10/10 would recommend!

This is a very unique place that you cannot find everywhere. I am happy to have them in our own city. Their baked goods are very authentic and service is excellent. Their coffee is also very good. I highly recommend every to visit at least once and see and decide for your future visits by yourself.

First time at an Asian bakery and I was very impressed. The crumb was light, springy, and flavorful. Fillings of red bean and taro were spot on with a nice touch of sweetness...but not too sweet!

I’ve been ordering from Chew Chew Bun since they were delivery only and now that they have a storefront, I literally go every day. Their bun/pastry options rotate every day (check their insta for the pastries of the day!) and they often post when they have a fresh, warm batch of buns! I highly recommend this bakery to anyone with a hankering for fresh Asian pastries.
